A Four Strain Barney’s Farm Grow

Thanks Trala.

More from me. :cheesygrinsmiley: I love the end of a grow, I really do! like Wow, we made it. Its down to the last two now. Last night they were both given their last 1.5 liters of low nute water/feed. They will be chopped on Tuesday or Wed. Just trying to stay within the VPD.

*Outside
Thunderstorms are expected soon. Its normal for this time of year. The wind beats up on the young plants and leaves. It probably makes stronger as well. I have a cheap greenhouse for rain and wind but the bottom flaps are kept open. Otherwise they are in the open.
For my outside soil I am reusing indoor. The pots are flushed and the grow bags removed, dried, roots are shaken free, more pearlite, compost and rock dust is added and it sits in a trashcan until needed. It is good and healthy. I got in the habit of reusing soil in the islands. The pot of soil and roots are from the last two Trop B's (Bees):) See the shape of the starter pots - rootball. What you do early with and for the roots matters.
The Runtz auto is already in a 5 or 7 gal, not sure of size. Also not sure of sizes of the brown or green. All have been used before. The Indica will go in the big brown bag and the Purple Punch in the green. :peace:

Good morning Stinker :)

I’ve never looked at a rootball. I’ve always felt the foliage tells the story. Maybe this thinking is flawed.
G'day T. I just saw this post. Looking at your plants, you really don't need to pay much attention to roots. It comes naturally. Your foliage tells the story! :)
I attached the root pics to show the formation of the squared rootball early on, & how it is maintained after uppotting.

Tomorrow the last two plants will be Chopped! They are getting up there in age. :cheesygrinsmiley: These last two Amnesia Lemon's are 105 days old today with 83 days of 12/12. Its cool how the buds swell up when finally ready. They are looking tired and ready now.

Yesterday the two outdoor photos were topped at the 5th or 6th nodes. The first nodes were removed early on all three. The Runtz auto stayed small. I don't have very much experience with autos.

Happy grows :peace:

Omg you just reminded me! I cleaned up some roots for you to inspect.

I have no idea if they are good or bad!

They look so tasty!

Well done la Rue! You do a great grow show :)

Hope it’s okay with you if I post them here. And I’ve kept them of course. My minion has a toupee lolling!

Of course. You are so creative. I love all the bits that we get to see. Lucky guy! I like cupcakes.

Thank you my dear. You really are too kind.
*********-

It is hot today, 33c+. The heat made it necessary to uppot a little early. Midday it was apparent that the small hardpots were rapidly drying out and wouldn't make it until later. I had planned on uppotting around 8pm but they couldn't wait. Didn't want to water them as it makes it dangerous to ditch the pot with wet soil. They are all in final pots now.
The big G13 Haze that was hanging got boxed this morning. The smaller one needed to hang another day.
Today's been a Pineapple Chunk kinda day. Its probably been 6 yrs since Ive grown it. Its already pretty tasty for only being chopped 2 weeks ago. Always been a favorite. 1st indoor for me.

Thanks for looking in.

I was more wanting to know if my roots look okay lol. It was pointed out to me that I uppot too early. When I transfer this concept to any other plant, I know it doesn’t matter, well I think I know lol. Just wondering if the roots look okay or if this is something I need to consider. They are my Tropicanna Banana roots.

They look good to me. Nice taproot! Your minion approves as well. :thumb:

Thanks la Rue and OMG just weighed Pink and I’m fucking STOKED!
Glad your happy! I am too. The buds are strong, dense and tasty.
Nice weather for growing outdoors, now that the freakin' heat seems to have turned to cooler daytime highs for a spell. Looking good, @stinker !
:thanks: We do get nice grow weather. Its the critters outside that I can do without.
Yes, good job as usual Stinker, looking really good!
Thank you Stunger. I am really happy with this grow. Potent stuff! Glad to be outside again this year. Have you given more thought to indoor growing?
********

The last plants, the two Amnesia Lemons, are still drying. I went to break one down and It was too wet. It sure stunk up the place fast.

The outside plants were topped at the 6th node. As soon as the new tops grow out, they will be tied back so the lower branches can catch up. The Runtz auto will stay small. It looks like it didn't like being started in a starter pot. :hmmmm:

Thus far, not really. I can get a reasonably long outdoor season as it is, and with it a yield that lasts the year (aside from f*ck ups of course). It would be really lovely to have a dedicated indoor room for all year growing but then I'd probably end up with way more than I knew what to do with.
Altho I have been thinking of a seedling growing light that could double as something to force a gender show, but just a thought as I have no experience in using lights. Cheers.

I never thought I would grow indoor, didn't understand it and grew enough or close to from summer outdoor grows. Indoor is another world. There is an element of choice and tinkering that I don't get from outdoor grows.
The excess was a problem, I even through some in the river last year. Now I make hash! Good stuff!
-*-*-*-*

The last Amnesia Lemon was jarred yesterday. So far the standouts from this last run are the Pineapple Chunk and G13 Haze. Both are different enough to what I have been smoking that they hit hard. I like Haze's and the G13 is a good one.
The overall yield was the best yet.

Last year I skipped outside, don't know why. This year I started later on June 1st. The greenhouse was put up again for those rainy times. There are three plants, the Runtz auto that somehow stunted. It will be 1 solid bud. Its doubtful it will mature without some rot, its already too tight and dense. In the big pot is a no name tester, an indica dom. It was so good inside that it was a 1st choice for outside. In the green bag is a Purple Punch. All the beans are from @Barney's Farm .

It will be another 6 weeks or so before another indoor is started. It gets hot in the summer. The next will be in a larger tent, a 4x4 with a new 600w unsponsored light. I'm kind of burnt out on journaling and don't want to start another for outside. The outdoor will continue here. Got a few bugs and sprayed with NeemAzal last week, tonight they will get a 2nd application.

Thanks for looking. :peace:

Whatever you put up is always worth reading and seeing mate.

If you feel like you should step back a bit then do it.

Your responsibilities, sponsor obligations and audience all came because of your talent for growing, and that came from a passion and a drive to do well.

Go fall in love with growing and the girls again and put aside anything thats become a burden.

Ive seen you kick that can down the road a couple times, and as honourable as that has been, you owe it to yourself to take back control of your choices and what  you want to do.

If you have a choice, then be good to yourself first mate.

Bro, I read this line many times and it's really confusing yet I'm scared to ask 😂😂 can you point out a good fishing spot down river from you 🙏🤣

I've enjoyed growning with you stinks you grow some fab plants always a pleasure to see! that time will always come, I think I'll be doing a few more individuals then just set up a space to catch up and show flower in lesser detail whenever I feel to. If this will be your spot I'll pull out the memory foam seat topper for when you pop in and have my net in the river lol.

Love bro ✌🏽

Thanks Deeve! I was really stoned when I wrote the post, like new strain, 1st thing in the morning stoned!
Judging by the responses, I must have sounded a bit off. Even I have a hard time getting whatever it was I was trying to say. Thanks for the insight. :Rasta:I do love growing. Outside is the best!

Its all good fishing, the licencing and permissions are expensive, hard to arrange and mostly for the privileged and tourists. :( I gave up on fishing here.

That's the line! It even confuses me. I actually threw a bit in the river, quite a bit. I was glad when I was through and was walking home. The problem was it was physically too much to keep in the house. Making hash solved that.

Stoned or zooted again. Hope this was better.

The sun is out after days of rain.
Happy grows :peace:
