A Four Strain Barney’s Farm Grow

After looking at the picture with the nodes I see these are already looking hungry. I confirmed up close but pics show it first I think.
Usually I get by with just an alfalfa based supplement and don't need to start feeding until after they have been uppotted. Uppot Friday to 3 gal.
Glad you're going to keep your thread here going! :)

I buy pelletized alfalfa from a local farmer. It disintegrates into the soil beautifully. NPK 2-1-2. Good stuff!

Btw @stinker I found some of my Barney's G13 Haze extract from 2020. I froze a batch of coconut oil extract. Found it in the freezer yesterday, it's still very good. G13 Haze is also a strain name that doesn't confuse, easy to spell! :laughtwo:

I found a fermented alphalpha at the local feed store, mixed it into my outdoor vegetable garden, I've yet to try it on the Canna.

That's what I use, a fermented alfalfa base - a concentrate. It smells like pickled green fields. It does lots of good stuff. They claim its - "a natural herbal supplement, stimulant and booster for the plants health and growth." I love it. Its expensive at 50 euro a liter.
I think you need to start a journal for them.
Thanks Tra. I'll stick with this for now. I am trying some new things that aren't sponsored. Maybe next time. Most wont ship to me anyway.

Alfalfa is good for gardens.

What Stunger said. " Nice find Emeraldo! " The G13 is one I have been waiting to grow. I hear good stuff.

Holy Moly! I thought I was getting it expensive at $24 for a 50lbs bag at the feed store...I hope they pay yall good over there, cause everything sounds like it's twice the cost from over here in the USA.

Oh sorry my mistake.

I thought you were closing this one.

I want to see your green choir sing!

@stinker :ciao:
I was going to close. After it wasn't moved, I decided to do another.

I've been catching up on completed journals, and came across your post above. Do you want this journal marked "Completed", or are you just carrying on here? :thanks:

Hello, the first four casualties were chosen and culled/dumped today. It still hurts. In the end only 8 will be uppotted, 4 will be held in reserve for a short time in case something doesn’t take.. They look greener outdoors, the roots developed fairly well for just under 2 week’s growth.

Part of being sponsored by a seed Co. is that @Barney's Farm Always provide and want extra beans germinated and started. It shows the viability. Lately everything starts and grows. 100% success! Hard to maintain! No pressure!

Soil was just mixed with pearlite and other and then measured so I know what is needed to fill the 8, 3 gal bags. Normally 2 gal were used. This round some will be topped and the veg time will be increased by a few days. The larger bags are better, I think. I like to make enough soil for the next grows starter pots. This time there was plenty.

Thanks for checking in :peace:

🪦🌺🪦🌺🪦🌺🪦🌺

They looked so healthy too.

You are the Seed Whisperer!

They were. Its hard guessing what to keep. Sometimes the weakest looking are the best.
It pisses my wife off that they get pushed so hard, then killed.
I like the way your wife thinks.

😊😊😊

Hello, it’s been a busy morning. It was like playing beat the clock earlier trying to get things re-potted before lights out at 10:. I was using the light from the tent to work in. Just made it, but then decided to add a couple extra hours at 50% for today.

The 3 gallon bags look so much larger than the 2’s :peace:

Hey I was thinking about your gardening style and your back.

Is there any way you can incorporate a soil “bench” type area? And bring your plants up too. That type of bending unless you are squatting with a straight back is no good for you. Particularly given it’s a daily activity.

I’ve got all the danger signs of having a bad back, but I keep it in check with yoga, exercise and doing my best to reduce bending in the wrong manner.

My plants are all up off the ground, and my man made me this to pot up. It’s made with a $15 incomplete shed from Bunnings. He manufactured it to suit my need. Honestly if I didn’t have it I know I’d get back twinges after potting up.

Hi Tra, thanks for thinking of me. That's a beauty of a potting bench. It sure would help if I stood up straight. The problem is I really don't have the space indoors. Outside it is cold in winter and when warmer I am afraid of bringing bugs, nits and such back inside. 🤠
--------------

Everything was slow watered with 1.5 liters this morning with no runoff. At up-potting they were given the 1 liter, that was 2 days ago.

The grow bags feel big and heavy. Banana Betty is back left. The other TB was topped this morning but not pictured.
Thanks for checking in! Happy grows :peace:

Hi la Rue :)

They look great.

We have every different uppotting methods. I like to wet the soil before I uppot. I usually do it in my wheelbarrow. I never water after an uppot. Just bish bash bosh, hole, plonk, bury.

I should have taken root pics of my two girls. You and the other rootaholics in here would have frothed over them. Dirt was absolutely strangled with them. Till this forum I’ve never paid attention to roots. Still don’t tbh. Lol.
