600W LED Grow

re: GLH 600W LED Grow

i love it!!!!!!!:yahoo::yahoo: love having fat buds, its about time i get a good led grow. i wish i would have put these pics in plant of the month. the crazy thing is there the small plant..lol. those xj-13 branches have mad weight you could fell them when i was tying them back up. thanks for the light mike! great job!! all my other pics dont compare to the single pics, it really shows their size. look how big that cola is compared to my friends head:yummy:

re: GLH 600W LED Grow

yes. ditto GLH.

The lights are doing there thing for sure, but no mater how good or bad a light is, it will only shine if everything else is done well too, and you have a steady hand guiding them. barely even showing any late nitrogen def.

Those plants rock my man. and they look rock solid.

i haven't feed them nutes for 2 weeks almost and there just showing a little N def. these plants were so healthy threw flowering. . they seem to be real dense buds when i squeeze them

dont you love when you have mad weight? the only thing keeping her off the ground is she is lying on the other plant for support, there is no way i am taking the string off of the back one its the biggest plant of them all. but this is why i cant take her out for a single pic, these buds are rock hard i just keep that air moving for i dont get bud rot/mold from them being so dense.

re: GLH 600W LED Grow

I do the exact same thing. lol Crazy!!!!! I swear by it....I won't do things any other way...pre-trim, dark period, chop, hang, jar. enjoy. repeat.

Thanks for the glass info, why don't we just start asking for them to be made that way? I am sure it is fine, but I would be worried about breaking out the glass...is it a structural piece of the unit? I think your right though, why do we even need the glass? Does it protect the diodes from damage?Water? Etc?

Can't wait!!!!!:welldone:

i dont know what it dose? block light?lol

re: GLH 600W LED Grow

Regarding heat, LED vs. HID, 1000W of LED light will output more heat into an enclosed space, i.e. a grow space, than 1000W of HID. It is a simple matter of energy conversion and efficiency.

The large difference between LED and HID is the path of heat transfer from the heat generator (the light generating device) to the ambient air, where all the heat will eventually end up. With LED, for all practical purposes, you can say all the heat generated by the LED die is 'conducted' from the die -to- the heat sink -to- the air via the 'convective' action of the fan(s). With HID (assuming an un-ventillated reflector), some of the heat is conducted (the glass bulb, socket, etc. gets smoking hot) and is dissipated -to- the air via air currents in the grow space , and some of the heat is radiated in the form of short wave IR, which then strikes objects, such as the leaves at the top of the canopy, heats them up, and is re-emitted as long wave radiation into the ambient air. Again, if un-ventillated, all the heat load will eventually end up in the grow space in the form of elevated air temperatures regardless of the path it takes.

Irish- your test will be an excellent trial of the impact of the IR radiated emissions common to HID lighting on the plants, as the LED will be largely void of this IR emission profile.

i dont believe led run hotter one bit, you would have to show me the proof? because i have seen allot of side by side and led grows from HID growers saying how much cooler led run watt for watt compared to their HID. with my fans running my run only raises 2 degrees F* i now a 600w hid with fans running would raise the room hooter then that. but like i said i have seen hps side by side and the leds run cooler

re: GLH 600W LED Grow

you guys know i like a fresh page of buds on top.:ganjamon:

HERE SOME PRE-TRIM PICS OF MY HINDU SKUNKS. THE BAD NEW IS I COULD'NT GET PICS OF MY XJ-13 BECAUSE ONCE I TOOK OFF THE STINGS HOLDING THE BUDS THE PLANT FELL TO THE GROUND FROM TOO MUCH WEIGHT. SO I JUST LEFT THEM ALONE.

ENJOY THE TRIM PIC OF MY HINDU SKUNKS THESE ARE BY FAR THE BEST PIC I HAVE TAKEN. CHECK OUT THE COLA COMPARED TO MY FRIENDS HEAD.

re: GLH 600W LED Grow

lol, indeed, probably only 5% at most though. but every bit counts! though i foliar spray a lot and am in hydro so i cant just pull my plants out to give'em a nice lil'douchein. so personally i have left my glass lens on just so water doesnt get up in there and corrode soldering points etc...

that said though both manufactuers of my led's would not honor a light if the lens was broken out, so go mike. however both manufacturers said the exact same thing when asked about the ill effects of removing the glass lens. so i dunno, i'm blazed and ramblin...

good thing mike gives us a 5year warranty with the glass out.LMAO.

re: GLH 600W LED Grow

What a stunning demonstration.

I doubt we'll ever hear again that LED's can't flower. This wives tale is going into the drawer next to the phrase the "earth is flat"

re: GLH 600W LED Grow

G-Zus those are.......wow! Thanks for doing this grow Irish. I am a friend of Mikes I know he has worked hard on the lights and your grow has helped show that when done right the lights are no joke. For those of you who haven't seen Mikes SLH grow you should check it out. Could be the next plant of the month.
Wouldn't that be bad a$$ two led wins back to back!

hard work shows off, and it shows mike did it right when making this light. i am just glade to finally get a good lead grow with some weight.
