No, not for venting. I am using the foil tape made for ducting. I am using white duct tape to staple through the panda. It helps keep the panda from tearing out from under the staples. All seams are taped for an air tight seal. No air will move in and out of this room unless I program it too.
The wifey found the stack in her closet today. She wasn't pleased with it. We had a long talk. We Laughed....we cried.....we overcame. All is good.
I got a lot done this weekend. I still need to run another 20amp circut, tie in Electrical, poly pipe water supply/filter, insulation and hang the rest of the panda.
That is a super set up. And I must say, you are either the bravest man in the world or a fool! No wait, there is another thing you could be, the bravest fool who is going to have some good ganja. Glad things came out smoothly with the wife. A good stone covers a multitude of sins.
Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been working like gangbusters on this build.
Also, as this project becomes more of a reality, I am becoming increasingly more paranoid. Since this whole concept is new to me, I just need to find a balance between cocky and paranoid. My goal is just to be cautious\cool.
Anyways, wait til I post my new pics. The room looks amazing.
Ventilation, check!
Electrical, 2 20amp circuits, Check!
Plumbing, Check!
Panda walls, Check!
Run-off pool, Check!
Except for the control system, my orders have arrived. So I will be working on mounting the lighting systems and vent fans. Then a thorough cleaning and disinfecting. I should be ready for my occupancy permit by the end of this week.
The room is complete. I'm having some issues with the controller hardware. Hopefully have it resolved this week.
The ventilation in this room works perfectly. With the Veg area sealed-up, the main vent draws fresh air in both areas. The room air get filtered and blown straight to the attic ridge vent.
Right now I am performing some seed experiments using jiffy pots until I get the room controls working properly.
Enjoy the pics and I'll be here to answer any questions after the show:

My first time wiring......just kidding....it was like that when I bought the place. It is safe!!
What is plugged into the dimmer switch? Not the fan I hope! Regular dimmer switchs make lowsy fan controllers as they will end up heating up the fan motor from too much resitance which ruins it. You need a real fan speed controller. Home depot and hardware stores sell them.
Otherwise it's one of the most professional looking set ups I've seen in a while. Great job!
Racefan and Boss, I think its called a Rheostat or Potentiometer. The terms appear to be used loosely. I didn't chance getting the wrong switch. I went straight to the electrical supply store with my fan specs. I had to use some sheet metal shears and a shoehorn to squeeze that controller in that box with the outlet. The it is quite large.
I must say that this build can largely be attributed to all the information that I have collected from 420Mag users. I would like to thank you all for sharing your thoughts, experiences and ideas. This is the only board that I will be posting on.
I'm still working on my growtronix issues. I could write an entire sticky just on this subject. I'll keep you posted.
