Looks good Wiz. I would top the new beans after the fourth node and LST like I did on my GDP. If it did not turn out a male and I could have vegged longer I would have continued tying it up. I am glad I didn't now though. With the LST and a topping you can form a nice bush. I have begun to LST my clones that are going to stay girls and seedless. I will probably top them soon as well. That is what I would do. I am also think of doing a second topping after the third set of nodes on the new branches from the original top. It all depends on growth rate during veg as I only veg for 8 weeks.

A small CFL conversation then nothing? I cannot speak on T5's. T8'S AND CFL's a bit. That size box calls for T5's maybe CFL's. A small 100 or 125 watt MH may work but heat could be an issue. The T5's give you room and less heat. 2 true 125 watt CFL's would create more heat than the T5's but less than a MH or HPS.

The Buds coming off my Auto#1 and especially my High Jack automatic are tight and fat. Both plants grown from seed under CFl's and T8's. Looks like the Pine Apple punch and Trans Siberian are going to finish well under CFL's. I removed the T8's over a week ago. The addition of a hood and true 200 watt CFL helped. I will still like to add an MH and ditch a few more of my DIY CFL set up.

Thanks TG,..Yea topping will always be in my growing schedule. I see the results from doing so and its all good. I see how your LST with the new babies are coming along. They seem healthy, how have the growth rate been so far? I hope they all pop out in 3 days. They have about a foot and a half to grow in the veg room. If I raise the light more theyll have more room no so much extra though. Just incase they touch the light. I wanted to grow normal this grow. So Idk if I will top them any time soon once they grow. But LST will be in action until then.

I love how the T5 works but I do have a couple extra CFL 6500k laying around. I thought about adding some to the side panels and door for more lighting. But it really isnt needed since the T5 gives great penetration. You did an awesome job with the CFL. I see that the 200w is working out foy you in your new grow room. Why not get a HPS and just flower with it and continue to veg using CFL?

I accidently supercropped the last 5-6 inches of my LA Kush ...... and it was the main cola. How long does it take for the supercrop to heal?
LOL! Accidentally supercropped... YOU BROKE HER!

The healing should begin the same night it was broken, and visible scarring should commence in two days.

If you have an extra plant that you aren't counting on ... it would be no biggie. But, i'd hate to wait all that time then not be able to smoke ....LOL. That's that whole point .... LOL.

Mild correction. You cannot smoke the part that the silver is applied. If you're only doing part of a plant, you can smoke the other parts, just be sure to pick out the seeds!

Alright all caught up... Plants are looking really good! Nice work on the seedling/cloning area. Well done stealth job there. "I won't worry about the noise coming from the FISH TANK!"

And "Cool beans," on the -err- cool beans!

Thanks Jandre. So Ive been thinking about this GLR lighting. Ive been using 18/6 lighting schedule since day 1 and now Im trying to get my electric bill down a little more since im vegging this journal for another month. So I figure Ill start taking an hour off of lights ON each week until it gets down to 12/12. I think doing this will ease the plants stress of light change. What you guys think?

Sounds like a good plan. But you could just switch to GLR. Then do diminishing light during flower. That would help the light bill considerably. :)

If you are worried about hermie then diminish the light. I do not think you have to worry but do what you think is best for the plants. :)

NO-NO-NO! If you do that you'll send them into flower when they get to 14 hours! You can actually go ahead and switch them straight to GLR so they don't get increasing dark. How could they hermie in veg?

And to start the flower, just remove the 1 hour during the dark to start them up.... leave it for two weeks, then start diminishing by 1/2 hour a week till you get to 9 hours.

  1. 12/12
  2. 12/12
  3. 11.5/12.5
  4. 11/13
  5. 10.5/13.5
  6. 10/14
  7. 9.5/14.5
  8. 9/15...............

Thanks Jandre, I was afraid with switching the lighting schedule so fast that they will hermie due to stress. But I have it set to 8am-8pm hr 1:30am-2:30am. It's going to be great doing GLR now. I wonder who came up with this idea? Any who thanks everybody!

I think that DonPaul found an article about how they came up with GLR, something about along time ago there were orchird farmers that would go out at night to shew the animals away and they carried gas lanterns. anyway they discovered that the hour or so of their lights had slowed the production of fruit down untill they stoped doing it and then their production exploded.
may have been a little stoned when I read that:smokin: so if you want ask DP

Wooooooo hoooooooooooooooooooooo! :cheer: :thumb:

BIG UPDATE GUYS!!!!:)

YES YES YES THERE HERE!!!! MY FIRST ORDER OF BEANS:party::party::party: Now its time to really start a good awesome grow. And to add on to the edition, I built a super stealth veg room. It looks like a fish tank shelf but its notttt! lol This shit took me since 2pm to build. Hard work pays off!!! I still have to paint the inside white and add on a couple neat things but it holds my T5 4ft 4bulb which is a pain to build around and make proper connections to hold it. But that was the easy part:thumb:

OH YEA MY BEANS OH YEA MY BEANS!!!! The start of my strongest strains grow!!!! Next journal will be called "The GROW OP":party::party::hippy:
