Congrats on the haul Amigo.I'm not sure if I said what the dry weight of the Re-Veg Cherry on Top was.... But it was about 5 oz. total. 3 oz. of decent size buds & 2 oz. of small stuff. Not a great yield, but it is pretty good smoke.
Last weekend I harvested the "OG KUSH". She's almost dry now. Here's some pics of her drying. As you can see a few branches aren't trimmed in the pics. I cut the branches off & hang them. Then trim the branches little by little over a day or three. I actually never trimmed up one of the branches just to see if it changes anything.
Should be able to get a dry weight real soon.
i'll be very happy if/when i can grow plants with this structure and size. simply beautiful.May as well add a few group shots.
So the "SKYWALKER OG" has about 90% White Hairs still & she isn't real bushy so I may or may not do just a minor defol on her today. Still debating on that one.
The Re-Veg was putting out some Red Hairs, but when I looked at lights on today it was covered in a bunch of fresh white hairs again. I hate & love when this happens. I hate it because it makes it hard for me to determine when to harvest. I love it because the buds get fatter. She's got some nice fat buds now that are weighing the branches down.
I'll probably work on her today while I debate the SKYWALKER defol. Not much trimming to do, but there's some branches that need tied up before they snap.
ahhh memories. me happily trimming my first HID grown plants. the stickyness, the smell, the feeling of success .Well only got 1/2 the plant trimmed & hung up. The other 1/2 just got hung up & I have to trim today. Guess I only got out of trim jail for work release.
MC?My "SKYWALKER OG" isn't looking too great right now. She got several more of those "P" def. looking leaves. Doesn't make sense it's a def. because when I lower the "Big Data" it goes away for a while.
Not going to say these are bad nutes. But they will take some getting use to if you choose to use them. I'm going back to MC, Alchemist Stout MSA, Natures Care Nitrogen & CalMag. I had the healthiest & most sticky, potent plants ever with those ingredients.
Also going to follow this journal to a Tee next grow. Photos, Soil, Mars Hydro Grow
That grow was fantastic with my smallest yield being a little over 9 oz. Doing away with the Bar Lights too. Buying 4 Mars Hydro TS1000's so I have a light per plant.
I wont be doing a journal. I will post some pics every now & then.
little leaves protect trichs. and helps slow the dry/cure time. i often leave the last level of leaves most people trim. when you're ready to vape those buds, the leaves cupping the buds just pop right off. like a jacket.I'm not sure if I said what the dry weight of the Re-Veg Cherry on Top was.... If you look at post# 484 You will see the chart of what I'll be feeding on all my grows from here on out. I just ordered a gal. of MSA Stout $70 on the bay (Mega Crop is low on this), a Gal. of Natures Nectar Nitrogen $49 W-Mart.com, Already have plenty of Cal Mag & Mega Crop (MC). I should be good for 3-4 grows.MC?
Fox Farm Marine Cuisine Dry Fertilizer ?
It's been so long since i tried something new. imma feed em what you feed em. saves me some reading as i have many hours of reading/research to do with my old hobby brought into the future of legal growing.
sweet. thank you young man.If you look at post# 484 You will see the chart of what I'll be feeding on all my grows from here on out. this packaging alone would cause me to purchase this. i think this is the right one.If you look at post# 484 You will see the chart of what I'll be feeding on all my grows from here on out. I know exactly what you mean - right now I have a plant half lit by white LEDs and half under a full-spectrum burple, (ie with red, blue, white, IR etc)OK guys, I need to clarify something I said earlier in a post about the Fold 8 light. Reason being is I really should have said any bar light in general. Here's my reasoning :
I'm not sure what it is with the light. I'm guessing it has something to do with Spectrum & PPFD. What I've noticed over the years is the lights that have more of a reddish color seem to produce bigger buds & colas compared to lights that are more on the bright white side of things. I've also noticed that a single light over each plant produces way more bud then a bar light. So for that reason I decided bar lights in general are not for me. I'd rather have an uneven canopy & more weed. It's not just your light. It's any bar light at all that I will not use again. I've had 3 different ones & none of them produce like a light over each plant. I'll clarify that on Friday when I update the journal. I think it's just a matter of choice & what a grower is looking for in their grow. Yes, there are other factors to consider in a grow. But the only things I changed from this grow from my others is the light, nutrients, pot size & length of veg time. Now, I did have issues with the nutes a couple times during the grow & that could be part of the problem. Never the less, I've just decided to go with what has worked best for me. In fact I'll just copy & paste this in my journal as I think it explains things very well. Thanks !
