420's Perfect Sun LED Dwarf Star Sponsor Grow With Mayne, Afghani Strain Coco Grow

Hey people, Update, Day 17 from seed

Not going to bad. I think i need to up the nutes some. Started to notice Mag deficiency couple days ago, but i think it was just low PH, so i upped it to 6.0 and all is good now.

These lights are no joke. They DO NOT like the intense light. They start to pray a bit better when the lux is like 16,000 for some reason. When i put it on the recommended height that Neil suggests, they just look droopy, even with a temp of 80F and 65% RH.

Feeding daily, 600PPMs total

Topped all today, above 5th node, they are nice and compact so should see pretty good branching off them. The Cocoloco plants are starting to grow better too.

couple are laggy.

But, pretty darn big for day 17.
Far Left 2 are Cocoloco,

OK, 2 hours before lights out. First time today that the leafs flatten out, and this is when they seem most happy. I lower the watts down last 2 hours of the day.

6,500 LUX ( really )
66 watts
32 inches from tops
81F
61%RH

They just dont like the light intensity. This light is either extremely powerfull spectrum wise, or this strain just cant take the light.

day 18

Today is pony tail day, time to get some light to those lowers. I want to get some cuttings for sexing these things asap, as goal is to keep 2 best females. I have plans that i think are going to really limit the amount of plants to space, and will be going with the top 2, and veg them to fill a scrog with 2 inch holes, so im looking for 300 or so tops, so hopefully the 2 biggest in this group are females, because the branching is awesome on them, and with that said, they are probably MALE, LOL..

They also got a strong dose of Recharge, so they are droopy right now.
Light is full on,

Hey Mayne!

Sorry brother, I clearly got your tag- but must have gotten distracted and then...well, I smoke a lot:lot-o-toke:

I appreciate the tag, I just am shaking my head for me taking this long to comment. I'm along for this grow, love your setup!

Hey Rexer! No worries Bro, we get around to it, LOL.. Thanks for the Props!

Day20 from seed, ( yeah, really )
I have to say, I love this light, pics do no justice. For being 20 days from seed, Ive never seen prefect growth like im having. I finally tuned everything in to where they seem ost happy, and im astonished to tell you the truth.

Watts- 150
Lux- 12,000 LOL, yeahhhh
PAR- 200 LOL, yeah, really
36 inches from canopy

If i crank it any higher, they hate it. I found the sweet spot for them.
Being my real first coco run, The saturate every day method isnt working. They always seem droopy and pissed off. Ive let them get super light now, ( every other day )

I was watering first thing in the morning everyday, and i think that is why they always seemed unhappy for the entire day till almost lights out.

They are on 14 hrs on, 10 hours off.

PPM 700
4g Megacrop per gallon
PH is around 6.0 ( using color dye method )
120 PPM calmag per gallon
7 drops PH down

Cocoloco plants are starting to grow pretty good, almost taller then smallest coco coir plant. 2 middle plants are cocoloco. the greener ones actually, lol..
I did take clones from the 2 biggest and have them in darkness for 72 hours to sex out..

Hey mayne. We don't have coco loco here in uk. What's the difference between cocoloco and coco/perlite 70/30?
Hey Moony, Cocoloco is coco coir with perlite and peat moss. Id say its a coco 70/peatmoss20/perlite10 mix. and alot of great additives. Ive seen some treat it like coco, and some treat it like soil, but ive found the dry/wet cycle the best with a 6.5 ph

thanks for lookin in bro!

Ah sweet. I'm using coco perlite but it's got ecothrive charge which is a micro boost. First time using too but supposed to be great at creating a microbial theme park in the medium hehe

Hey people, update. Day 27 from seed
I had to defoliate, needed to be done.
They really need transplanted, but the clones i took are growing, but not showing sex, hope it isnt one of those 3 weeks to show strains. Im transplanting into 3 gallon containers, but really didnt want to prep coco for 4 containers, and i really want to end up with 2 good females.

16000 lux, tried higher, but they hated it. They also hate water, LOL.. they seem to enjoy dry atmosphere, lower humidity,

feeding 700 PPMs.

30 days from seed--
each coco plant has been topped couple times, with 26 potential colas so far from each.
2 far left are in cocoloco, ( coco-peat-perlite mix) Get just calmag water
so, here are plants that only get feed, or watered when dry, in coco coir.
Feed,water,water, water,Feed,
feed days consist of 150ppm calmag, 600ppm of MegaCrop ( per gallon )
water days consist of 150 calmag, .5 gram recharge ( per gallon )
They dry out, almost bone dry, but i do end up watering/Feed something every day, they need transplanted.

Im about to transplant, but just 2 of them. If you had to guess and take a stab, what 2 plants you think are female? LOL..

Im doing something different tho, Im transplanting in to coco coir, but will have a 4 inch airstone disk in each that will supply air. 1 will have nuted water, the other will be watered to runoff, dripped out, then air.

So, in laymans terms, 1 will always have water, the other wont, and will be watered only when light.

my cloning is horrible, and they never showed sex.

Hey I found your own thread.
Your light is only 240 watts how far is it?
The drooping you speak of do you have any pics?
Stay safe.

lol, you found me, lol..

Its 30inches away from canopy, using 170 watts, --20,000 lux, or around 400 PAR (using my DIY par meter )
If i give them more light, they dont like that either. even having my hand under this light for 30 seconds, feels like sun burn, even feel it just now taking readings.

still, 20 mins later, my hand STILL feels sunburnt, and i was literally under it for not more then 30 seconds.

I actually turned it up a tad today, i think im going to back it down, because i can smell plant matter, and thats usually an indication they need adjusted,lol..

i started to notice mag defi so that is why i started to raise PH, and it stopped since

ph.png

i figured, if i start PH higher, and coco is 5.5, i let it drift down thru the scale, because i dont water till they are literally dry but not droopy, so just before.
