420 Motoco Memorial Grow - Community Journal - Tribute

As the last thing before bed, I checked online to see if my seed shipment from the UK would arrive Monday or Tuesday.

To my surprise, the website reported delivery at noon.

Rather than leave my girl seeds shivering in the mailbox, I donned farmer boots, top hat, mitten capped pickpocket gloves, and a retro edwardian wizard's cloak for another 3AM trek to the mailbox. Despite the Full Snow Moon, todays snowfall was a mere 1/2", drastically reducing my journey from an epic trek to a casual stroll. It was all so civilized, I could have carried a cane and opera gloves :) Still, I noted 2 planets in the 5 planet syzygy, so there was consolation. Also the preparatory shot of rum warmed me on my return journey.

My 'souvenir phonecase' of seeds from the land of henges.

For added blessings, I took HRH Fauna and her bath outside in my bare feet and formally presented her to the Full Snow Moon.

Radogast, I just love reading your posts. I went out in the moonlight last night as well. It was beautiful with the shadows of the trees dancing slightly on the snow across the yard and in the woods. If it wasn't so cold I could have stayed out there all night.
Congrats on the beans arriving! That silver bird is a busy critter.....

Dennise, hope she pops up soon. Good to have a back up plan.

I don't have just one Purple Paralysis now, I have two. Both of them finally popped open in the paper towel overnight. Must have helped to clean off whatever that gunk was on them. So, now lets hope they are healthy enough to sprout and grow. Will plant them in soil tomorrow. I'll let RSOiler pick out which one to carry on the name he chose after they've sprouted and see which one he likes. :)

Budnoob, if you make it over here....I'm going to have an extra plant now if both of these Purple Paralysis' sprout. I can donate one for you to have a virtual grow if you like! Just let me know, and name it and tell me how you want things done as it grows. :)

I have one more Master Kush arriving within the next few hours. Currently getting a green tan on it's neck.
I also planted one of the Purple Paralysis seeds that popped. Still waiting for the other one to get some taproot. I don't like going directly to soil with seeds. Personal preference here. It works for a lot of people, I just prefer the way I do it by soaking and waiting for a taproot first.

The other planted kids I'm still waiting on.

Not my day today. My Supersonic Crystal Storm seed that popped so quickly, I thought this will be a good one, keeled over dead today. Then my autos growing in DWC started to get root rot. Cleaned that up and will be popping another seed tonight.
:Namaste:

I also like starting seeds in water.

I read somewhere that seeds are best planted within 48 hours of the shell showing a crack. Their theory was it helps the taproot orient and the seed turns upright easier. I suspect they are correct because my seed that broke soil with its taproot leaving the leaves underground was the seed where I waited 3 days after taproot showed for the taproot to get long like the other seeds (it never got longer.)

Any opinions on how long to grow the taproot in water?

I'm sorry Hemi...hopefully your bad days are all done now. Got more than your share in one.
Any idea why the lil' one keeled over?

Good luck on the next seed for sure! :circle-of-love:

I have always thrown them in the paper towel as soon as I see them cracked completely open in the water. Then I wait for at least 1/4" taproot. Usually not more than a day. Some of them grow out much quicker than others.

Still not roots yet on the BB clones. It always takes longer when they are started from flower.

I am going to add my Strain Hunter Money Maker to the grow. I was a seed I had given up on. after about 3 weeks in a paper towel, she decided to pop. Here She is with her info: :) :peace:

Strain Hunters Seed Bank - Money Maker

The Money Maker is a very old-school plant. A true Master Kush, High Times Cannabis Cup winner in the early 90s, presented in feminized form.

Short, bushy, with very small internodes, it grows very fast and has an extremely vigorous attitude.
The leaf shows some sativa heritage, but the buds are definitely full indica, with a berry-sweet aroma that turns rapidly into a very kushy, earthy feel. The calyx is large, buds grow irregular in shape and tend to slight fox-tailing. The Money Maker makes very compact, heavy flower clusters, and it has very low leaf-to-calyx ratio so manicuring is very easy.

The Money Maker can take high nutrients levels, and grows very well in soil, coco, hydroponic or aeroponic systems. It performs well indoors and outdoors, and is ideal for beginners as well as for advanced growers. The smoke is very intense, with a berry flavor that gives space to very deep earthy, mossy notes, to end in a slight garlic feel. The effect is round, thick, narcotic. It is couchlock-bonanza, ideal for very relaxing nights, or very lazy days.

Medicinally very valuable for those with trouble sleeping, or intense pains.

Genetics: 70% indica - 30% sativa
Original Master Kush x Hindu Kush and Skunk (feminised)

Height: short plant (average internodal distance 5-7 cm).
Flowering Indoor: 8 weeks flowering time. Yield up to 1.0 gram (dry and manicured) per watt per m2 (with 1000W HPS).
Flowering Outdoor: 8-9 weeks flowering time, with production up to 1Kg per plant depending on the final size.
Support for the branches is recommended.
Taste (burned): nutty, vegetal, spicy, fruity.
Scent (unburned): berries, spices, kushy, roasted.

Effects:
Speed of high onset: fast hitter.
Duration of high: medium lasting.
Quality/type of high: strong, physical, very intense on the legs, couch locking, meditative.

Medicinal qualities: against insomnia, pain, lack of appetite.

Sooo jealous, It is what i am currently smoking and quickly running out, was a great strain to grow and we ended up with about 15oz of dried buds at the end off the one plant outdoors lol, was even pulled about 3 weeks early due to the weather we were having at the time. Amazing strain and i have one here ready to go when i find some room :)

After having a read through the description of her it is spot on, the only thing i would not agree on is "short" as she outgrew the others in the tent lol
