420 Magazine's Plant of the Month: August 2011

No way, bro, you are NOT the only one that felt that way...
I am here to learn, and I am humble by nature, and shy away from people that brag on themselves, there's no bigger turn off than that...I won't even comment on my feelings on the other things off-color to me that were said in that posting. I found it to be in very poor taste.
I think if anyone "trash talks or brags that they are the best around", then maybe they should go to another site where the people there are into that vibe, but I know for sure, that ain't the vibe around here, not at all. This is a place I've come to depend on to be a safe, loving, and almost family-like atmosphere where we all are here to learn and share our knowledge for the good of all, not to "be the best"...These contests are only really a more of a promotional thing for the companies that donate the prizes- to get their names out there.
I would hope that anyone that's spent ANY real time reading posts here and trying to learn from others here would have already known this and would never talk about their fellow brothers and sisters that also believe in the green herb that heals and our rights to use it for that purpose.
Sorry, but I had to speak up for ya shaggie420, I felt the same way, and wanted to add my 2 cents after I got started, in a respectful way though.

how was there trash talking when i was clearly trying to explain why there was spell checks so maybe you and shaggie are just looking for those people so maybe people shouldn't even be on this site talking cause i was also saying that i would have clearer pictures instead of taking them with my cell phone camera so no disrepest to anyone here but maybe if u wouldnt assume u wouldn't make an ass of u and me

Q and Gt i thought bout that too after reading and it took some time for me to write that...
i hope it didnt come across as attacking i truly hope that Hyp posts his plant in the contest regardless of photo quality.... we have all had poor equipment to use to post with at one time or another.
after reading the post over a dozen times i had to respond, as support of my fellow growers here on is my number one priority next to learning new information for myself.
I hope that that i didnt make hyp feel unwelcome as that was not my purpose.

there are some great entries this month and it will truly be hard to pick!

Oh wow, dude, I am so sorry, I re-read that posting after I read what others were saying, and I'm sorry for taking it wrong...I swear I would NOT have said a thing about it if I really didn't think it was a bit outta line. I am very sorry, I totally apologize, and I hope that you will understand that the wording to me just seemed to mean the wrong thing- that your plants were better than all these, and you were going to show us as soon as you got that real camera, THAT's what I thought you were saying. I am sorry for the misunderstanding, and I hope that you will allow me to have another chance at being your 420 friend. I would never try to hurt anyone or talk crap about anyone on here, I think everyone here will vouch for the fact that I have never uttered anything but positive things before I was concerned with what I saw as a posting in poor taste, and just tried to say to shaggie, in response to his statement of, " I may be the only one here that feels this way..." or something to that effect- the posting's not in front of me now, but I was trying to say that , no, he was not the only one that took it that way, cuz I really did feel that it was coming off just like he said he felt it was, that's all. And I tried to say in a diplomatic kinda, business-like kinda way, that we simply have too much love and positive people on here for that kind of stuff. But we all know now that this wasn't what you meant, and it was just the sentence structure or what ever that made it sound, to at least a few of us, that you were talking down on other's plants.
That's why I feel terrible about the misunderstanding, and like I said, I hope you can forgive and we can all forget, or at least move on, because I would NEVER want to hurt a soul, it's simply not in my nature! I'm again, so sorry, hypnotictonic, and I think you should remember that I even had sent you a friend request before this happened, so I hope you can see, I had every intention of just being a good friend to you from the get go. That's why I am posting this big public apology, so everyone can see what I have to say, no hiding my guilt, just trying to apologize.... i know alot of people that update just as you do, there is noting wrong with it, it works well! i look forward to seeing your plant in the upcoming POTM. and thank you for clarifying

Pineapple Express, week 4 in bloom. Loving her fragrant. Actually turning off my DIY scrubber so I can get the most of her scents.

This will be a treat. I've also took on breeding and pollinated one bud site. The father, Grapefruit Diesel, hopefully will get some good traits from both.

I totally agree, hypno can read his post back, and clearly understand what he meant, because he knows what meant to say in the first place. for the rest of us, you are absolutely correct, the lack of punctuation, capitalization and spelling issues makes it difficult to understand and different people are going to interpret it differently.

One last thing I will add for hypno, is that if your posts look like that, a lot of people might just assume the post is from some kid, because it looks more like a text message than what they are used to reading. Now that I understand your situation, I get it, just saying that others are going to make assumptions based on your posts, because that's all we know about you!

My apologies for being fftopic:...but now that we know he meant no disrespect, and it was just a misunderstanding, we can all move on and focus on the voting that begins tomorrow!

Thanks Munki my friend, it is an honor to hear this from a grower of your stature!!! You have one beautiful Auto if I may say so myself....The difference between auto's is getting the lighting pattern just right for different heights ya want....Loved the way each pheno grew, just breeding some more power into it now to get it tuned in to my taste...I thing the crossing I done with my SugarCane is gonna pan out very nicely..

II Uhm...did the voting start yet? Did I miss it? Do I have to find it someplace else? I went to the contests place, link, tab-whaatever! , and found "420 contests", clicked on that, and it took me right back to the three that are labeled as for August of2011, but when i click on the thread for any of the 3 contests, it just looks the same as before....maybe it just doesn't change till later in the day? I hate not understanding stuff- very frustrating....
