420 Magazine's Photo of the Month Contest: May 2018

Haze-Berry (I crossed her myself). I was running out of room in my veg tent so had to put some ladies in early.

I call this one 4 of a Kind.

The Winners

Another incredibly difficult month to judge. We are truly impressed with the levels of creativity you're showing and trying to move beyond the usual plant/bud shots. Although, as this month's winner shows, there's nothing wrong with that.

Some hints and reminders for you all. Watch your focus (or, if you're using auto focus, where the camera or phone is focusing). One or two shots were so close to making the top three, but weren't pin-sharp. Hands in photos don't usually work (unless you're a hand model). And I always say it, but watch your backgrounds. A messy behind is never nice. :)

Keep striving, keep that creativity going. You are turning this contest into a true celebration of creativity centered around our beloved herb. It's really something special. Thank you all.

Because there are so many great shots, (and the first place prize package is not insubstantial, because our sponsors have recognized the popularity and quality of this contest), we are introducing the same guideline as applies to Plant and Nug of the Month. From next month, the first place winner will be ineligible for entry for 3 months from the date of win. This gives everyone a chance. It's not as if we are short of great entries.

Onto our winners. Each has its own "Wow!" factor, which ultimately got them into the top three. Each has a unique combination of lighting, composition and originality. Many congratulations to the following:
