I've been shipped and received and began the seeds' start- o'-germ in paper towel today. I'm starting my journal when they get above soil.

Awesome! I am practicing the same technique on some CBD seeds for the wife and doggo. It hasn't been too long since the last grow but I don't want to start rusty to be honest. Super excited for all these ladies to enter the universe. My neighbors are probably wondering why I check the mailbox several times a day.

I throw the seeds in an inch of water and wait for them to sink. I'll encourage them a few times by swirling the cup in a whirlpool. The next day they've sunk and go into the wet paper towel with the water from the cup. I let the seeds have a double layer at the top of the crumpled towel and back into the cup. They usually have a root out the next day or two. All but one seed in the list two years has worked and grown for me. I've grown every seed I've germinated into flower.
 
Dropping them onto perlite/clay pebbles just barely sitting in water has always worked for me

Super cool, I am doing hydroponics for my first time and going without rockwool is super appealing to me. I did buy the rockwool but ooo I like that. I could start it the paper towel way and maybe set it like that? I am assuming you have to help with the hoods occasionally or no?

I personally am not a fan of the paper towel method, I was taught by an old timer that doing soo actually can stunt growth of a plant because there’s little microscopic root hairs that form off the taproot that attach to the PT and rip off when you remove the seedling. Always just gone from the glass of water to the dirt or hydro system. And in the most recent years don’t even bother with the glass of water, I’ll let the seeds sit the way they are till there’s a taproot a couple inches long, then they go into my cloner. The speed that roots grow that way, in my eyes, is unmatched to any other method I've tried. And yeahh, from time to time you need to peel a seed casing off, I try not to if possible, but you can tell if the plant is struggling too much and needs the help.

Hi Camaro,

Your order was sent with Fedex, but because Fedex is just new to use, the tracker was implemented in the old tracking website, that's why it didn't gave an update. When I check the tracker via Fedex I see it was delivered yesterday!

Well after a day in the water to they sank then a day in the paper towel, all 3 have roots and I've buried them in their first pots. Will start my journal when they pop above soil I guess but I have pics so far! :)
