Flower Day 38

Happy Monday!
She’s putting on some weight and frost and making it happen daily.

Thinking this last top dress was possibly the final feeding on her, depending on how far along she actually is.

We have somewhere between 12-25 days remaining, which seems about right …

Getting her chunk on. :yummy: I was wondering why our bedroom smelt like rotten farts for a few days:rofl: Smelt like the barracks after a Saturday night.
For some weird reason I'm glad I didn't experience the barracks situation, but a 2 hour car ride every other weekend with the father behind the wheel I get the gist of your situation lol!

Flower Day 39

She’s is beginning that slow color change as some of her pistils begin to Orange up.
It feels like as soon as I mentioned she only had a few weeks left, she started finishing lol.
Beautiful color and smell coming from her, and the flowers are just dripping with trichomes. Looking forward to the next few weeks as she shows me what else is left in the tank.

Good tokin on the horizon

She’s just gorgeous Justin. :drool:You’ve said how much you love GSC. Is there any specific reason (other than how beautiful she is and easy to grow and delicious smelling:cheesygrinsmiley:)? What I mean is, what is the difference in smoke flavors and highs between GSC and WC or PL, or? Sorry if that’s a weird question. :battingeyelashes:
Not a weird question at all!
Growing up in CA, one of my favorite strains was OG Kush (the real og kush) and Durban Poison was on that same list. GSC is a lovely, perfect mix of those 2.
I actually discovered Wedding Cake first, which accentuated the best tastes of one of its parents, GSC.
The high is perfect for me, heavy and level. Taste/terps is more important to me and Wedding Cake just NAILS IT. GSC has about 90% of that same flavor profile but is a bigger producer. That’s why I’m so excited about my little breeding project which back crosses to combine them both.
:meatballs:

This is only my 2nd GSC, the first being an auto. I loved how it grew, and it’s unmatched density. I’m still smoking it, which says a lot about the yield lol. It has only gotten better tasting over time, too.
I jumped at the opportunity to lead this GSC grow. Once this is done I’m putting 2 autos in its place, to keep the good times rolling!
Glad you asked, I’m just stuck on GSC for now. Looking forward to Bruce Banner which is supposed to be it’s own brand of awesomeness.

Hey Justin looking great! I have a question since I could just be lazy and just skip back and look for myself haha. But rather interact some on this comparison and would like to know how high your temps gotten in flower, and do you go past 68°f for night time? Sorry for being a pest the cookies I've grown myself seem to like the cold nights with low humidity. And since your from Cali I'm sure you know where the best climate is for these genetics as comparison to where I'm from. How's the resin production threw out the flower cycle? Here it's hard to take these genetics outside with out risk for some little reward. Cheers my friend can't wait to smell what your smelling on!!

I’m from Cali but have been in WA for about 14 years. I never did a lot of outdoor growing there, but it must have been dry cause I never needed a dehumidifier lol.
But here in my Garage, it hits about 79-80 most days in the tents. 50% ish humidity. Nights drop to mid 60s and sometimes a bit cooler which does seem to help out the trichomes and the colors in certain strains.
I just gotta stay dry or else the mites and the white devil will show up cause they live 10 feet away right outside the door.

Haha yeah my climate has horns like most females these days have lmao! It's hard to grow here without a dehumidifier my basement reaches above 55% some days and growing in tents I'm always swapping dehumidifier in and out to keep at bay for no furry fliers to come take over when my backs turned. I've moved a lot the past 10 years and each place had a different setting but I can tell ya the setting I'm in now isn't grow qualified for certain strains to thrive without issues. Thanks for the feed back Justin!

I normally prefer sativas. However, I know that GSC has a slight indica dominance and that doesn't seem to be a problem.

I looked up Wedding Cake and while it's quite beautiful, it has way more indica in it. For someone who prefers a euphoric high, would you recommend Wedding Cake for that?

Noooo…this batch of WC that I just harvested is pretty much the opposite of that. If I want euphoric I turn to my Green Crack or GG, but this (Barney’s Farm) Wedding Cake auto is straight to the couch indica weed. I enjoy functioning at that level of high but for many people it would be what you want to smoke an hour before bed.
GSC is easier to handle as an all day smoke, and still has the taste to keep you coming back.

Flower Day 40

Well, she’s drinking lots and lots of water. Hopefully putting on a bit more weight before she finishes. Beautiful colors and frost. Tiniest bit of leaf (tip) burn so I know I’m right in that sweet spot between feeding just enough and feeding a bit too much.
She’s happy and sturdy, can’t ask for much more ;)

Looking as good as she does and still thirsty. Excellent! :thumb:
