Thanks, everyone. It was nice to spend the weekend with my sister. I've seen her during the pandemic but it's the first time I've spent the night at her place since 2019 so that was nice.
How To Use Progressive Web App aka PWA On 420 Magazine Forum

How does the top look and do you have a lux meter? Most of light distance (as with almost all of growing) is a matter of reading your plants.
I'm glad you had fun at your sister's, and welcome back!
Hey HG - I think I can help. I have the same app and it's way easy to use. Here's all you do:The top looks good. No sign of light burn. Mars Hydro says the plants should be 12 to 18 inches from the light.
I don't have a lux meter but I do have an app on my phone for this purpose called Photone. I just don't know how to use it yet.
Hey HG - I think I can help. I have the same app and it's way easy to use. Here's all you do:
1. Open app
2. Find the kind of light you have, ie, full spectrum, red/blue LED, MPH, etc.
3. Pay $5 to unlock the type of light you have, the app tells you how
4. Now you can use the app. To get an accurate reading you have to add a diffuser.
5. This is a fancy word for plain piece of white paper
6. Cut a strip that will loop around the top of the phone and cover the lenses front and back and tape in place.
7. You're ready to go! Select your light, hold phone horizontal to ground at whatever level you wish to measure. You can select par, or lux to measure with as well as some others. I measure in par cuz I find it easier to process than lux.
Hope that helps.

Something wrong with your readings. Max should be around DLI 30, LUX 60K, PPFD 1000. Your light does not have the ability to put out the numbers you listed.Good morning, Jon.
I used your instructions for the GSC tent and got the following readings:
DLI - 194.4
LUX - 196000
PPFD - >3000
Do you know what any of these numbers mean or whether they're good or not?
@HashGirl - @Brett Blaze is correct. In fact, a light does not exist that will give you that reading, except for the one that's 93,000,000 miles away. Lol. Only the natural sunlight setting in direct sun should give you that ppfd reading. In fact, that's exactly what direct sunlight reads if you test the "sunlight" setting, which should have been free. So it's working, you're just maybe on the wrong setting. By the way, ppfd is the same as par. Do you have the par charts that came with your light or can you reference them? Should be an easy search online if you don't have them handy. When you have the app working correctly with the right setting and the diffuser in place, the app should measure ppfd very close to those par charts. Mine was almost exactly right on. That way you're using the actual manufacturer's specs to test the accuracy of the app. What kind of light specifically are you using? If you have blurples use the "red/blue LED" setting. If you have a full spectrum LED, use the "full spectrum" setting. Etc. if you use MH or whatever. Hopefully that will help.Something wrong with your readings. Yep the MH FC3000 is full spectrum. Did you pay the $5 to unlock full spectrum LED?Okay. I'll try again tomorrow. Lights are out now.
I have a Mars Hydro FC-3000 full spectrum light and that's the setting I thought I was using but maybe I hit the wrong button.
