420 Magazine's Official Girl Scout Cookies Comparative Grow By HashGirl

My seeds were smaller and light in color - they darkened up a bit after their soak. Looking forward to watching your grow :nomo::bongrip:

I’m sure going to try and keep up with you on this. Have some fun with it.

Enjoy your grow!

Late, but i'm here.

:welcome: everyone. I'm happy to have you here. It's the busiest grow journal I've had to date. I hope I can keep up. I'm also running a Recreational Summer Grow Journal at the same time. If you're interested in that journal (and if you have any time after following 40 GSC grow journals ;)), the link is in my signature line.

WooHoo!! Good luck in the grow! I like your start... very concise description of your conditions except I am unclear what nutrients you will be using on the other two not getting Geoflora. I will enjoy watching the comparison, whatever line it is.

:welcome:Emilya. I'm happy you're here. I had originally planned on using GeoFlora on 2 of the plants and a non-sponsor nute for the other 2 in order to compare them but now we've been told, that's not legal so I've reported my first post to ask them to remove the part where it says 2 plants.

After 48 hours in water, all of the seeds have little taproots and I have put them into paper towel as I want the taproots a little longer before I plant them.

It's a pleasure to work with you!

So, I have a question.

Normally, I would plant the seeds in just ProMix in a Solo cup with no nutes. Should I be using Dynomyco, Earth Alive and/or GeoFlora at this stage and if so, how much?

Missed this, here now. :ciao:

I mixed Dynomyco only in my solo cup and then top dressed with GF Veg when I saw the first set of true leaves. But that's just how I did it.

You could probably mix them all in together like you would on transplant and the GF would start working just when the plant starts needing some nutrients. Don't need much of any of them in a solo cup though, so it might be easier to mix up a larger batch of ProMix and then fill the cups with that.

:welcome:to my new grow journal, Shed. I'm happy you're finally here.

Thanks for the advice, Shed. I have taproots this morning so I'll be planting them today.

Yeah, I'm pretty impressed with the genetics of @Weed Seeds Express seeds. We're growing their Alpine Star CBD right now, too and all 9 of the seeds germinated. I killed the 10th one accidentally. No fault of Weedseedsexpress.

Good afternoon.

I've planted the seeds. The way I plant seeds is I fill the Solo cup halfway with ProMix and water it and then I add more ProMix to the cup, plant the seed and then lightly spritz. This time, after I added the first half cup of ProMix, I sprinkled 1 tsp @DYNOMYCO on top in each cup. When I added the dry ProMix on top, I used a small measuring spoon to mix the Dynomyco in.

I also, for the first time, prepped the cups with drainage holes the @InTheShed way by cutting the bottoms of the cups with kitchen cutters:

It worked way better than my previous method of trying to poke holes in the bottom of the cup. Thanks, Shed.

So, here are the photos. I might have to start another post after this one as I believe I have too many photos for one post.

See the Dynomyco on top?

I also planted the seeds differently than I normally do. This time, I planted them as per @Emilya's method.

Yuuuummm! That sounds amazing! I'll go check out that journal too. I'm trying to keep up as best as I can. I just saw your reply today from Wednesday! Haaa haaa. Only a few minutes behind...

Looking forward to seeing those babies breach the soil! Interested in trying that seed transplant position method too.

I had a panic attack in the middle of the night thinking that the taproots were going to fry under the lights since I've been told over and over again by Shed and others that roots don't like light. So, when I got up to go to the bathroom, I went out to the gardening room and replanted all the seeds the way I normally do. Sorry, Emilya. :nervous-guy:

Great start HG! Mind if I tag along?
:passitleft:

Of course, I don't mind if you follow along, Prof. I'm always happy to have my friends join me.

:welcome: Prof. Thanks for the smoke.
