420 Magazine's Official Girl Scout Cookies Comparative Grow By Beez0404

Something too that I keep failing to mention is that the buds on the front left plant are quite a bit different in shape to the buds on the other three plants. Remember the plant front right is the Durban leaning girl. Her and the two in the back row have Christmas tree shaped buds. The plant on the front left has round buds very different then on the other three plants.

What I did was raise my light as high as it would go and turn the dimmer switch to full power and took my Lux readings. Then I started lowering the light till I was within the desired Lux range and that was it. I bought a Lux meter to no guessing. Not foolproof but much better then what I used to do and that was go by gut instinct.
Thanks Beez, I'm actually in the process of doing that right now. :high-five:

GIRL SCOUT COOKIES UPDATE
FLIP + 37 DAYS TODAY
Happy Sunday to everyone. I have a couple photos to share today the first being leaves on the biggest GSC girl. I've seen the very tips burnt many times in the past, that's how I gauge how much to feed them. What I am seeing here are all the tips on the leaves burning. All along the edges of the leaves. I don't see this on any plant but the largest one.
What do you guys think? Any ideas Matthew @Prescription Blend ?

Here is a family photo of all four of the GSC girls. Other then the fans on that largest plant all is great for these four plants at 5 weeks +2 days of flowering.

And finally I snapped a bud shot from the Durban leaner. At it's looking right now that will be the first plant to come down.

Thanks! I'll keep a close eye on them from here on out as I always find this last 3 weeks or so to be crucial.

Hey Bee, looking beautiful!
Those leaves are showing a potassium deficiency. See how the leaves have a yellow margin before the brown tips. Running the length of the leaf.
You could increase "big data" by a couple of ml. And maybe an extra ml or two of "kelp fuel" to help her digestive system.

What do I do that with fishing line? There are two leaners on the Durban leaner.

the bud structure on the Durban pheno reminds me a lot of how the floral clusters on dark devil look.
I was just propping up the four corner colas and couldn't help but notice the strong citrusy aroma from the Durban pheno. I think that will be the first to finish, probably around 8 weeks post flip.

So many pistils, so much time...that's going to be a killer harvest!
That is my fear having to trim the buds. I pollinated 1 bud on each of the four GSC plants with some leftover Lemon Pie auto pollen. The plants will most likely be mature and ready to harvest before the seeds are mature putting me in a position where I harvest the plants on time, delay harvest till the seeds are matured, or harvest all of the plant but the bud or two pollinated on each plant.

Option #3! It's the only option that gives you the harvest trics you want and also viable seed.

As for that leaf, is there any change from 3 days ago? If you did have a K excess then you should see a progression that affects all the leaves of the plant/garden. If it has not spread to other parts of the garden then its nothing to worry about.

Considering that your media started with an pH imbalance, you might be seeing some residual effects. Overall, the garden looks fantastic! If you are seeing more of that leaf discoloration over time let me know.

@beez0404 I'm repeating this only because you read my post before the edit when I added this... "Considering that your media started with an pH imbalance, you might be seeing some residual effects. Hey Matthew @Prescription Blend what I spotted is quite minor and I truthfully feel the plants only have 2-3 more weeks to go. I believe they will be running across the finish line and not limping over it because the Prescription Blend nutrients are doing an excellent job. The plant with those affected little spots is the largest plant of the four with the biggest and densest buds. Perhaps she is drawing the most energy from the abundant leaf system. Plus what I saw was not on all the fan leaves just some. I think it's going to be alright.

GIRL SCOUT COOKIES UPDATE
FLIP + 41 DAYS TODAY
5 Weeks and 6 Days of flowering

It took forever to upload 4 pictures this morning. Not sure what that's all about, but I finally got them to go through. Really not a whole lot worth noting. I am starting to notice that the plants are slowing down their water/feed uptake but honestly they were not big drinkers this whole time so far. But they have definitely started drinking less. This coming Saturday marks the beginning of Week 7 of flowering so they have definitely reached the home stretch. I'm hoping to see some swelling of the buds here in the next couple weeks. Did the buds on your GSC photo plant swell near the end @Justin Goody ?

I snapped a photo of one of the round buds for today's bud porn.

And a few family photos of all the girls. I especially love the pics I've taken looking down through this wonderful @Mars Hydro FC-4800 light which has done and continues to do an amazing job growing these plants out.

And a quick thank you to Matthew with @Prescription Blend Nutrients, my foil bottle of Kelp-Ful ran out yesterday so the replacement bottle you were generous enough to send me will come in handy as I finish up this grow. I'd like to say that the performance of the nutrients has been top notch even through my mistakes, and the customer service went above what I could hope for.

And before I drop in the last couple family photos a shout out to @Weed Seeds Express for sponsoring this grow. I've found the genetics to be very good quality. If those plants could survive the first four weeks of veg and still turn out nice that says a lot to me. I have to wonder how they would have fared if my medium hadn't been messed up those first 4 weeks? I'm so impressed with your photo genetics that I am wanting to do a run with some of your auto flower strains which is what I now grow almost exclusively. Thanks again for sponsoring this grow.

Now a couple group shots.

Mine did swell, way more on the auto. Whatever you’re doing it’s working great!
