420 Magazine's Official Girl Scout Cookies Comparative Grow By Beez0404

but it seems to me that stripping a plant of all that foliage would force it to expend energy repairing the damaged areas and then re-foliating.
I just did that a couple weeks ago to one of mine and it definitely stalled it out while it was making repairs. It just now is putting out new larger solar panels again. I did that heavy defoliation thinking I would be putting light and energy to future bud sites. I thought the big leaves were blocking too much light which is why I defoliated.

I feel like I had to share this with everyone. I am growing my four Girl Scout Cookies plants in my 3x3 tent under an incredible @Mars Hydro FC-4800 light fixture. This light arrived from the factory with an extra long power cord which allows you to mount the driver outside the tent which I did. In this tent I have ZERO exhaust fans. During lights on the tent door is open and I have an oscillating fan blowing on the plants. That's it! Now check out these photos. I stuck a thermometer in the tool pouch on the side of the tent at just 7" below the light. Check out that temperature.

If you are considering purchasing a new light for your grow operation consider one of the new Mars Hydro lights especially if you struggle with heat issues in your grow space.

Hi Beez! Your plants are gorgeous! I am running a sponsored @Mars Hydro light in my 2x4 tent for the GSC Comparative -the SP3000 - and it is running incredibly cooler than any lights I've used so far. Just a fabulous product!

Hey @BooWho2 I think that SP3000 is a perfect light for a 2 x 4 grow tent. I would like to have one in my 2x4 tent at some point. I grow my autos in that small tent and grown as many as 8 at a time when training them to stay small.

I'm amazed with my MarsHydro FCe-6500 how cool it runs and its a large lamp. I have my power supply attached to the lamp inside my @Mars Hydro 5x5 tent (awesome) and no heat at all.

I only have a 4" extraction fan going in there. Itsa beauty.

Update for today Day 18 post flip for the @Weed Seeds Express Girl Scout Cookies.

The plants were getting light and since I have my new wet/dry shop vac I figured why not go ahead and feed them and have a fair bit of runoff to wash out some built up salts. The big girl in the back is driving me nuts she has SO MANY leaves but I'm trying to resist snipping any off since her main and secondary branches have stretched above the canopy and the (what I feel) are excess buds are in that canopy. I snapped a few pictures today as the plants are starting to look really enticing even the small one in the back left is coming on. I think the @Prescription Blend are rocking it at this point. I highly recommend to anyone looking to try a new nutrient line give the Rx Blend a chance. I can't imagine how these girls would look if my homemade Pro Mix had been right from the start. I probably caused these plants 2-3 weeks of stunted growth and I STILL feel it is having a negative impact on their growth.

And as even as the plant canopy is at this point the @Mars Hydro light is distributing a nice, even layer of light across the plant canopy and deep into the underbrush of the plants. Such a high quality light this FC-4800 is. It's looking like real soon the back right plant is going to be stepping down off her milk crate. Remember this is the plant I did NOT defoliate I just tied her down. Hmmmm!!!

How about some photos.

Here is that plant in the back left, the smaller one. She's coming on now.

Thank you @Furcifer that's nice of you to say. I have learned quite a bit this grow and am thankful to all of you guys for sharing your knowledge.
