* UPDATE * -
#1,2,3 - VEG DAY 5 - 14 Seedling Days
#7,8,9 - VEG DAY 1 - 7 Seedling Days

It's been a hectic past few days with another week of it at least on the horizon. Plus...getting super behind on others' journals. Adds to my stress honestly. Trying not to but it's just a natural response to the expectations and responsibility of this grow.

This update was supposed to be for yesterday. I passed out before actually finishing this post.

These pics were taken roughly 36 hrs after their first top dress for #1,2, & 3 with @GeoFlora Nutrients 'Veg'. They are all looking happy! Good timing for the watering I think for all of them. It also looks like the 24-48 hr fast release nutes for the microbes is doing its job! I am excited to watch their development as the microbes continue to break down the granules.

* I hope that in the near future, I can find a way to merge the veg clocks and have none of you notice... :hmmmm: *

Individual portraits

You're rockin' it BA! All the plants are healthy and moving along. Great job so far!

What did you mean by merge the veg clocks? You mean how the plants start dates are all staggered? You could go by weeks instead of days, it might narrow it down some more. I know sometimes if 1 pops and then the next day another pops, I just call it the same day.

Thanks Dick! I appreciate the encouragement.

I just get tired of calculating how many days they are at. It would be easier if they were all at 'X' days of veg. I started 7,8,9 later so it really does make a difference in growth habits right now. I think much later in veg, they will all look similar in size and age.

Honestly, I don't even have to calculate anything. I just look at these widgets on my phone. I can click on each one and see additional notes if needed. For instance, I need to edit #7,8,9 because I only wanted to do 7 days of seedling growth before switching to the veg clock.
Here it is before the edit.

And now edited to reflect the veg clock.

cool widgets! What application is that?

It's always much easier on the brain when they are the same day. I had some pop on 3 different days and just labeled them all the same day. Maybe you could meet in the middle. For example, let's day plants 1, 2 and 3 were at days 7, 5 and 2. Meet in the middle and call them all day 4 or 5 instead. Then do the same with 7, 8 and 9, then you only have to worry about 2 dates, instead of 6. That's what I would personally do unless I was doing some side by side comparison. I also don't do a "seedling stage time", once the plant breaks down its veg day 1, but everyone has their own ways as well. Just throwing out some ideas for ya.

Wow... that is very handy. I just replaced my google calendar entries and the need to refer to a computer from the grow room with this app! Thank you!
Yeah! You are most welcome!

I'm glad I was finally able to help you with something. Haaa haaa. It's now a two-way friendship. Gone are the days of mooching all of your brain cells. Well...no, I still have tons to mooch from your brain. Sorry, I mean utilize your wisdom.

1,2,3 - VEG DAY 6 - 20 DAYS ABOVE SOIL
7,8,9 - VEG DAY 2 - 9 DAYS ABOVE SOIL

OUTDOOR 1 - 4 DAYS ABOVE SOIL

Now a close up...the best I could do until I find a macro lens.

* UPDATE *

1,2,3 - VEG DAY 8 (May 12th)
Above Soil April 28th / 2 wk seedling stage
7,8,9 - VEG DAY 4 (May 16th)
Above Soil May 9th / 1 wk seedling stage

I'm a little bit lit with some Strawberry Cough. I tend to get a little long winded at times. Forgive me.

*haaa haaaa...that was much earlier this morning but I passed out. Now I'm no longer lit and will post it as-is except finish the update with additional pictures.*

It has been four days since they have been watered. They are looking ok but not wonderful this morning. The oldest are looking droopy. I'm having some watering doubts. If these were yours, would you give them a drench?

#2 is the saddest of the bunch this morning. I sprayed the outside of her fabric pot with filtered tap water. I am not sure how to quantify that but I sprayed each side approximately 5-6 times. Probably only adds moisture for 1/4" deep is my guess.

I want to ensure the roots that have reached the edge get a treat! With the goal of having a strong root mass that is wide and even, I believe what is above the roots mirror what is below. I have brought that philosophy into the care for my food garden and houseplants.

The roots communicate to the rest of the plant that it found moisture! It reroutes root growth toward those beneficial areas in the soil. Having even moisture completely surrounding your container is critical! I am slowly learning how to find that balance of watering correctly. I want to water them deeply but I'm also worried about overwatering. Urgh...how long can they go before it's too much stress. On top of all that, I am still trying to find the container I like for seedlings. So having a few different container variables makes it a little harder with the watering cycles. I need to water them at different times.

#3 (left) is looking just ok to me. I still feel some weight to the cup though. I'm tempted to let her go another day or two. Not sure.

#1 (right) seems to have plenty of moisture still based on the weight. But it's drooping. Not sure what to do.

Also, I accidentally pinched one of #1's leaves while taking PPFD. Stupid!

7,8,9 still have moisture and look happy. I really want to water them but I may have to hold myself back for at least another or two.

When I initially plant my seeds in a solo cup, I weigh the cup before adding any liquid. The cups with ProMix in them weigh approximately 150 grams so I usually water until they hit 200 grams on the scale. I also spritz water onto the top of the soil when it looks dry.

I totally forgot to do that. Good call. Thank you!
Looking good Baked!
Thank you Blaze!

Beautiful pictures coming along really nicely

Looking good, Baked!

One thing I'm certain of is that your plants won't suffer due to a lack of attention. You give them plenty!

I can almost hear them, "Uh oh, here comes the human again. Get ready to get poked around and breathed on!" :laughtwo:

Thanks Lj
looking great, keep up the good work
Thanks Em. I still haven't given them water them. LOL Trying to hold myself back for at least a day when I want to water them. Today they are getting some though. I can't take it anymore. They haven't had anything since Sunday.
