Hey @BakedARea

Sorry it took me so long to wonder into your journal.

What a fantastic read, filled with great information and photos of both indoor and outdoor growing.

Congratulations on the wonderful harvests :green_heart:

No worries at all Rex! I appreciate your time reading through it. I feel very blessed about being a part of the grow and getting my first real good harvest. I wish I could share the harvest with you and let you taste the different plants. I'm guessing #9, the most stressed, is going to be the best of the bunch!!!

So check this out! This is an example of what a couple handfuls of buds are left on GSC #8 outside! Woooowzaaas!!!

Some of the GSC getting burped. I wish I could share the profile coming from #9. Without a doubt the most stressed plant (on-purpose) and smells the absolute loudest! Strong sweet and citrus pine profile. I have a small piece set aside to dry and smoke in a little bit. I'll TRY to remember and give a smoke report.

An example of GSC #7 at its current state of cure.

I harvested the rest of the salvageable buds off GSC #8. Here are what most of the buds look like. I have a few PM spots to clean out.

In keeping with the theme of GSC #8, here is some of her flower ground up from her very first harvest back in September. I was fortunate to win this amazing @PerfectPipe package recently! Thank you so much PerfectPipe for being a sponsor for this community in this giant internet world. It means a lot to us!

Check this out...super easy to load. Just twist as you press it into your ground material.

A fresh filter after switching it out and trying a bowl out.

After 1 bowl!

A fresh filter compared to the inside of just the pipe after only 3 bowls. This device captures the majority of the mainstream smoke which is what is dangerous. Also, I love that there is nothing taking away the flavor of the flower. I'm not a fan of having to replace the filter each time but honestly, it is a small nuisance for my safety.

Anybody else have a chance to try these? What are your thoughts? Dig it or not...I think it is good to have these discussions.

I honestly may have never pulled the trigger to purchase these. Now having them in my hand, I have to at least give our sponsors some props.

For patients that need cleaner smoke and want the entourage affects of putting the flame to your flower, this is a pleasant surprise that I think you would enjoy.

I like the Perfect Pipe when I’m on the move…I do highly recommend

Love the burping area Baked! And the late flower on the outside GSC has the frost and the colors. :thumb:

The only issue I hear about the Perfect Pipe is the filters. For those who smoke as much as my wife, it became too much effort so she doesn't use it much. For those who smoke and then stop for a while, it's a great way to hit the flower!
Yes, I can see where the filters would become an issue as well. Seeing how much they clean up though...damn!

I've been wondering about you. How's the trimming coming along for you? I'm desperately behind and opened up some jars to find a really big drop...I may have burped for too long yesterday. Damn man...gut punched with some at 55% right now.

I'm on day 7 of 17 in a row...with many hours over a regular shift on top of it. This is what I mean by not having a consistent curing process. I opened up one of my bags from GSC #8 that was really starting to get that sweet piney cookie batter smell to it. I smelled nothing today. I'm feeling a tad bit defeated right now to be honest. I don't know if that entire bag of buds is essentially trash now. Anyway...

Just smoked a couple more puffs from GSC #8 and I'm properly stoned right now. I should be asleep and getting mentally ready for some more of it tomorrow. Blessings.

Aww man. :(

55% is the bottom end of fine. Get something damp in there with the buds (I use lemon wedges because I have lemon trees and they don't make the buds smell like lemons, but apple slices are good too) and raise the RH to the high 60s, then take them out and see where they buds settle after 12 hours.
I don't know if that entire bag of buds is essentially trash now.
Nah, 55% is definitely workable.

Oof! When I'm on the 2x a day burp they get opened before the shower/closed after it, and opened before I get ready for bed and closed before I turn off the light.

If your schedule is wacky, feel free to skip a few days of burping and pick it up again when it works, as long as you have gotten the RH under 70% (which you obv have!). It just means that the whole process will take more days to complete, but better that than ruining a harvest.
How's the trimming coming along for you?
I wet trim, and they've been sealed up for the cure for a bit over a week now!

Got to make it quick. No regular schedule some days. That's what sucks. Also...fatigue. physically and mentally. Excuses...excuses. sick of them.

Thanks Shed for the input. I will be having to sit down and figure out something better. I have typically kept these tasks to myself. It may be time to utilize some child labor to help with this. I need to compile all the drying and curing info and just start writing down my process in comparison and just make my own SOP for my situation and environment. Got to go but thank you for some extra review tips Shed as always. Blessings.

We keep them in rotation here! Love the way they make us high and keep things healthy!

I've ordered the 2 pipe kit from Perfect Pipe but they haven't arrived yet. I liked Shed's comment about it:

I don't smoke a lot at a time. It's usually just when I'm already high on oil. So, the pipes sound good to me.

I think you'll like it a lot. I like that it comes with its own cleaning kit too. Makes for a nice neat clean up and I keep the old alcohol in the container (in a safe upright way) for a few cleans before changing it out.

I can definitely see myself packing a couple bowls then sealing them up in the case. Keep some extra ground stuff that was freshly ground before the trip out to enjoy a few more times during the day if I want. It holds a couple big rips. Don't be fooled by the bowl size! I was a little so-so about it because of the filters but I wish I would have had with me today dammit.

A quick recap of some tasks I got to last night. Decided to do a little bit of squishing. This is all Gsc #8 (outdoor)

A bit mellow and definitely smoother tasting than even just a few weeks ago. It has a faint sweet cookie dough flavor toward the end of the hit. It finishes a bit earthy or pine forest floor aromas.

Happy Thanksgiving Baked! Hope it's a great day with your family!
Happy Thanksgiving! Blessings Rexer. Working most of the day and into the evening most likely. Hopefully get home in time for dinner. I'm normally prepping and cooking this meal. Unfortunately, not today. It's cool though. Leaves me with some energy for trimming!
