Thank you, Brother! One down, three three to go!You got some really nice bud there Mr.Krip!
Thanks, Em!That is stunning! Congrats! Do you think the Purpinator had anything to do with all the color?
I think I am trying to be talked into using my Terpinator at the end, but on the next run I will be able to test against several identical clone sets to actually see if a difference can be noted.Thank you, Brother! One down, three three to go!
Thanks, Em!
Honestly, I think it probably had a little bit to do with it but I still think the best way to get color is with low nighttime temps during the last couple/few weeks of flower. All four of these strains are supposed to be purple strains and, as far as I can tell, it looks like only the TCxS actually turned. The being said, I don't get low temps where I'm at, so if the others turned, I'd probably give a lot of credit to the Purpinator. The fact that only the TCxS turned leads me to believe it either likely would have turned, anyways, or the Purpinator gave it just enough of a boost to get it there.
To really do a proper test, I'd need two clones of the same strain, one with and one without, and see what happens. Also, if I dropped the temps the last couple of weeks, even if they both turn, I might see some color difference. As is, I really don't know!
I am very happy with the @GeoFlora Nutrients, though!
It's also worth noting the the Purpinator is basically the Terpinator plus it helps the plants turn color. So, the Purpinator may still have a lot to do with the quality.
Yup, and I love it!Maybe I'm wrong Krip, but didn't you have a bowl trimmer?
It's not required but it is recommended you amend the soil before transplanting. If you have the time, I'd mix up some good soil with some EWC & GeoFlora Veg and let it cook in a sealed container for about a month before using. It should be good & active by the time you transplant.Highya Krip.
I have a question about the Geoflora nutes.
Do you need to prep the nute/soil mix prior to transplant? Water it a week prior perhaps?
I sent an email to Geoflora on Oct.3. Got a email that says they received my inquiry but still haven't heard back and today is the 17th.
They weren't complex questions. I'm wondering if I'll ever get a response?
I may have to resend the email.
I was going to use Pro Mix all-purpose.It's not required but it is recommended you amend the soil before transplanting. If you have the time, I'd mix up some good soil with some EWC & GeoFlora Veg and let it cook in a sealed container for about a month before using. It will be fine without the initial amendment. I didn't amend mine before transplanting this round since the GeoFlora came in after I had already transplanted.I was going to use Pro Mix all-purpose.
It's for my Kalashnikov grow with MrS. Not enough time for cooking soil.
I can always use MC if it won't work for this grow.
DAY #55 OF 12/12 - NICE FADE ON THE TCxS!
Day #55 of 12/12 and the Tropicanna Cookies x Slurrican is getting a real nice pre-harvest fade going so, before I post the bud close-ups, here are a few examples of the fade:
And, here's the "good stuff":
I'm planning on taking the TCxS down next weekend.
Happy Harvests!

I have been using geoflora starting with a teaspoon in the solo cups as soon as my plants get established, and then every two weeks afterwards according to container size, and I have tried to time my uppotting for when the next fertilization was needed so I could immediately apply the stuff to the new soil. I have ended up using FF soils right out of the bag with no prior amending or prep for these 18 plants using Geoflora, and all has worked fantastically. Geoflora seems to kick in rapidly after applying and watering in, so I will not ever be pre-prepping the soil when using this line... it just doesn't seem to be necessary. It will be fine without the initial amendment. I didn't amend mine before transplanting this round since the GeoFlora came in after I had already transplanted.
I got ya back Special KI'M IN TRIM JAIL & THEY LET ME MAKE ONE PHONE CALL!
I took down the Tropicanna Cookies x Slurricane and am in the middle....errrrr....about 1/3 of the way through trimming and needed a quick break. I didn't really get any pre-harvest pics but I'm taking some along the way I'll be posting later today.
There's got to be an easy 5 z's on this plant and, TBH, it's a relatively easy trim job compared to a lot of plants, but it's still a PITA. Also, it really wasn't visible on those top buds which are just covered in trichomes, but the lower buds show some real pink/purple pistils I hope come out good in the pics.
I was hoping to get the Platinum Cake harvested today, too, but that one may have to wait for tomorrow.
Happy Harvests!

I haven't noticed this, Em, but wouldn't deny it's been happening and I just haven't seen it. I really don't use the calendar for two weeks. I just go by approximate and how much of the GeoFlora is still visible on the top of the soil. I do scratch a bunch in, when applying but there's always some still visible on top.@Mr. Krip, have you observed a phosphorus deficiency a day or two before feeding time in bloom? The feed clears it right up, but I have noticed it on several plants as they near the end of the 2 weeks.
Yum City! Looks like a great gooey harvest! Congrats!TROPICANNA COOKIES x SLURRICANE - DRY WEIGHTS
I was planning on a "low & slow" drying for the Tropicanna Cookies x Slurricane so I could harvest the Platinum Cake, but I didn't have a lot of room in the fridge and wanted to let the PCake go some more time, so I hung the TCxS buds early last Friday and they were ready to cut from the buds today.
Here's the pile of untrimmed buds once I finished cutting them from the colas:
Here are a couple of untrimmed buds:
And here's the bowl of buds after I ran them through the trimmer:
Finally, a couple of the bigger buds once they were put through the trimmer:
Total dried weight was 153 g's or 5.46 oz. of incredibly sticky and stinky meds, which I'm pretty happy with.
The sample bud I took before harvest had a berry taste and, while I haven't sample these dried buds, yet, the terps are strong and I can definitely detect more of a citrus smell than a berry smell.
I'm anxious to see how this one cures up!
Happy Harvests!
