DAY #20 OF 12/12 - STARTING TO FROST UP

Well, I was planning on getting an update in yesterday but the battery in my camera insisted I wait until today. :sorry:

So, we got some real monsters going in the grow tent with all four of the plants at over 5' from the ground and the light raised about as far as it will go, but with more than enough room.

I did check all the plants and I don't see any signs of any pollen sacs, so the browning I noticed on those pistils yesterday, and visible in a couple of today's pics, hopefully, is just some early ambering, or perhaps a trait of this specific purple strain. :dude-knocking:

I do need to clean up the undergrowth and that will be one of my projects this weekend. I'm also going to top dress another round of the GeoFlora Bloom mix along with some EWC.

All the plants are really starting to frost up nicely, considering it's only been 20 days of 12/12.

Here are the pics for today:

Happy Harvests!

Ok so got the nutes on the way an orderd this time lmao. But yea the girls r lookn great bro congrats i cant wait to see them wen they r at harvest time lol. Holy lord its a dam jungle in there lmao u definitely gotta get in there n clean those bottoms up lol. But yea so my soil guy at the hydro shop gave me a bag of dry nutes to try out for free so im guna do a test run to see what one does better these pride land nutes or the GeoFlora nutes tht i got on the way. The guy said i should mix it up n let the soil sit an cook for a few weeks but im wondering how much do i use cause the directions are kinda confusing im not sure what part to use. To start the soil it says b4 planting to use 1cup per cubic foot of soil media but then it has a part tht says for container plants apply 1 tbsp per gallon of media once per week n then below tht it says indoor soil mix thoroughly mix in 2 tbsp per gallon of media and water in so im wondering which on 2 use if you could help me out tht would be great thanx.
This is my new nutes im trying out.

Then here are the directions im confused on what one do i follow 2 start cooking my soil?

Thanks, Bro! I already cleaned up most of the under canopy but still have more to go.

The "Before Planting" directions are for outdoor beds & gardens, so ignore those. For the indoor stuff, add the 2 tbsp per gallon to your potting soil (i.e. ProMix, etc.) and let it cook for 30 days, or so. Once you transplant into it, top dress with the 1 tbsp per gallon once per week. :Namaste:

Ok awesome i got a 3.8 cubic foot bag of promix hp but it has a biofungicide an mycos added 2 it but the guy at the shop said it would be fine 2 use an tht it should achieve highbrix growing so im excited to see how gud it works lol. N thanx man for the info i appreciate it also do u think i need 2 ph balance my water wen i water in a topdress each week?

Nope! Not with a good soil mix.

Well is this stuff considered a good soil mix lmao?

Ok cool I’ll be watching that one

Ok ill make sure to post pics an stuff wen it gets started it wont be for a few weeks yet since i gotta let this stuff cook for a month b4 i use it.

It depends on what you mix it with!

If you mix with something like ProMix, for example, or any good soil, you should be fine. If you mix with something you dug out of a random mud hole somewhere, you may need to PH, however, when in soil, you want to PH adjust the soil. If the soil is good, you don't need to PH the nutrients. If the soil is out-of-whack, even PH'ing the nutes will only get you so far.

Oh i didnt know that i needed to ph the soil. I jus thought u phed the nutes an tht was tht lol. An i always promix hp normally igetthe plain one but this time i got the promix hp plus ithas the biofungicide shit in it so im guessing its a gud soil base. My soil guy at the hydro shop said this stuff wud work the best for not having to adjust the ph so hopefully it works good lol. But yea thanx for the help n info much appreciated.

It will work just fine. Promix uses lime as it's buffering agent but it needs to be activated so you should wet it in a few days prior to using.
Another tip is always check the manufacturing date on the bag. Once over a year the product's pH will naturally rise which will cause problems if running a high nitrate type fertilizer.

DAY #24 OF 12/12 - TRIMMED, EWC'D, & PUTTING ON WEIGHT

It's day #24 of 12/12 and the girls are all doing great. I lollipopped about the lower 3'rd of each plant and took out a packed 5 gallon bucket of trimmings. I could do some more, but I'm getting too old to be bending over those plants for that amount of time!

I also top-dressed each plant with a 16 oz. cup of worm castings.

The flowers are all formed and starting to put on some weight and add to the trichome count.

Here are today's pics:

It will be interesting to see how many of these plants actually purple up since they're all supposed to be purple strains and I have been giving them the Purpinator with every watering. Some low doses in veg at about 5 ml for each plant and upped to about 15 ml each once we flipped to flower. The dosage gets upped again in the last few weeks. All those numbers are per 1.5 gallons of water, which is approximately what it takes to soak a #10.

Other than that, there's really not a lot to report. I hope everyone is having a great Labor Day weekend - even if you don't celebrate Labor Day!

Happy Harvests!

that's a packed tent krip :p

i can't grow them up that tight anymore. too old for that much work now lol .. :cheesygrinsmiley:

... :thumb: :thumb: ...beauty eh!...;)...this is normally one of favorite weekends of the year...all the summer people head back to town for school and such...dunno this year...school situation is a schmozzle...with some opting for home schooling and also a shortage of bus drivers...cheerz...:high-five:...h00k...:hookah:...

...yes and hunting...got some room for grouse, but due to an almost certainty of having an extra 3 month winter, freezers are almost capacity with added veggies, so probably no buck this year, unless I buy another freezer...can't justify that...I think... ;)...cheerz...:high-five:...h00k...:hookah:...

I do love making optimum use of the grow space! :cheesygrinsmiley:

It does make maintenance a lot tougher, especially for the plants in the back of the tent. Even watering them is a bit of a PITA and between the dense canopy and the trellis netting, the plants pretty much don't move for the entire grow.
