We have had quite a few extended power outages where I live and it has unfortunately brought with it a battered plant and a new gift of a fungus gnat infestation. I promptly soaked one mosquito dunk in a gallon of water and will now continue watering with it indefinitely.

The plant itself has at this point shed all of it's leaves, with only the flowers themselves left. They do seem to be packing on the snow so I guess all is well. I have reduced the par output to around 700
μmols and the temp stays between 78 and 80F. 2 more weeks to go hopefully.

Trouble-free? No, but look at that frost!
I know right? The flower period is always a point of contention with me because the plant goes from looking beautiful and green to having spots, and yellowing and dead leaves and I forget to focus on the flowers themselves. Also, after one drenching of mosquito dunk juice and it looks like I have less fungus gnats so thank you for the tip Shed.

Just a quick update. It appears that the mosquito dunk has worked. I read that it doesn't kill the adults, only the larvae, but today I opened the tent and there are only dead fungus gnats on the floor. Color me impressed. LOL

WEEK 7 9/3/23

At this point we already know the numbers.
She is starting to look pretty interesting.
The buds are turning blue and the trichome bulbs are about 1/4 the way cloudy.
The I L G M website states 8 to 9 weeks.
I'm thinking this girl is probably going to go the whole 9 weeks.
That puts us at 9/16.

Okay enough jabber and on with the bud porn.

Monday, November 13
Well I'm back from Europe finally. I had to go visit an Aunt that has been ill. She is doing okay for now. The grow was kind of a success, however, I did discover a bunch of seeds in the buds. But all in all it was okay I guess. The Girl Scout Cookie that I was growing for my next run ended up getting ruined because of 2 power outages that put it into flower so I got rid of it. So for this Winter run, I'm going to do something crazy.
GGL00003.JPG

I'm going to run 3 hydro buckets at once in my 2X4. What could go wrong? I found these cool net pot lids that let you replace the baskets. Each of them will have it's own airpump with 2 air stones.

The little cute orange guy is my friend Simon who wanted to be in the picture.

So the plan is to grow this Girl Scout Cookie Extreme up and take 3 clones from it to go in the buckets so hopefully everything remains as even as possible.

GGL00001.JPG

She is pretty young right now so that will give me some time to get the tent and my clone bucket set up.

GGL00006.JPG

So it's time to cut these clones as I have got 3 examples that are relatively the same size.

GGL00005.JPG

I made this cloning bucket, connected to a repeating timer that sprays the clones for 3 seconds every 10 minutes. I'm going to be using plain water with a few drops of Superthrive.

This usually takes a while so I will be back in a few weeks.

Well it looks like 2 clones rooted and one didn't so I guess that's why you should take more than you need. It might be a blessing though because I heard that GSC Extreme gets pretty big. So I guess we can kick this thing off now.

11 days to root not too bad 👍 have you got a timer on your clone bubbler ? Or does your pump run continuously and do you run any nutrients in the reservoir of the bubbler?
