FLower Room Update
Ahh it has been 25 days since flipping to their flowering cycle the timer has been lowered by a half hour for three weeks. They are now on 12/12 for the next two weeks. Winniepeg showed her first pistils on the 27th of March so today will count as 17 days since showing. CHer showed pistils about a week later and looks like shes falling behind. Winniepeg has been pushing flowers at a steady pace. Both got a scoop of FF fruit and flower, with vermibrix and vermifeast. I've been reading Doc Bud's journal about his kit looking for answers on the cat drench. from what I read it was giving the plants a feeding of Ammoniacal nitrogen to boost resin production as it stimulates the reproduction process (forgive me if this was misstated.) Anyway I noticed that the N content which is super low in both products has trace amounts of Ammoniacal Nitrogen so adding it should help boost growth in theory.
When I opened the tent last night, both girls were thirsty and in need of a good drenching. They both shared 3 gallons of rain water and left a slight runoff. An hour after getting a drink they perked up and resumed their normal growing business. On Monday I noticed thrips doing a little dance along the leafs so I proceeded to spray them with neem and insect soap twice in 3 days before their sundown. It seemed to cause some burning of the pistils but if its between that and a bug problem I will choose that.
Here is Cher under t5 light. She has yellowing in the middle due to both getting an aggressive lollipopping. I expected both plants to stretch much more but got nothing. I worry this was because I had to move them twice and I caused stress. Either way I worry they will suffer from it. I like the Idea of the net but I don't think its worth the trouble of wanting more stretch. With more stretch the branches would have been more spaced apart.
Here is Winniepeg. She still stretched out nicely although she has some space in between bud her resin production is coming along as planned.
Here is a close up of the bud sites with the curling hairs. She's looking good
Here are Cher's bud sites. you can see where the thrips attacked.
Here are the average temps. The day is usually in the 80s and the night time temp have been consistently 65 since I made the swamp cooler. I hope to run it this summer and get the same temperature readings.
That's it for now. I will have pictures of the outdoor girls tonight.
