3x3x6 grow room

First time grower question. I have a 3x3x6 grow room with a 400 hps light, how many plants can i squeeze in with this light or should i get a bigger light?? Thanks in advance for any help.

Full size plants, 4 most likely. But there are many ways to go ;-)

No, not at all

The rule of thumb for container plants is 1 square foot for every plant minimum. You either have 9 square feet or 18 square feet. Depends on which number is height. Either way with a 400 I would run 4 to 5 normal sized plants. 2 to 3 SCRoG plants and maybe 20 SOG plants. Any more and you'll outgrow what the the light can handle.

My space is almost 4x4 and I need room to work so 4-5 regular plants is right on. If you look at the 12/12 grow, that room is 3'-8 x 3'-5 or somthing like that.
