3x3 - Multi-Strain - Light Grow

Nice work BpoBrad both of those plants are super tall and just reaching for the sky with green happy leaves. Are you considering giving them a defol and spreading out the colas to open them up? You are going to be yielding a few ounces of each for sure.
Slowly but surly I'm thinning them out a few leaves here and there I hoping by say day 25 to 30 or so to have it done pretty thoroughly, as for dealing with the colas I was either going to tie them in what direction I want them to go or maybe I'll take an ode from Graytail's journal and stake them. I don't really plan much I just kind of grow with the flow, I view growing a lot like cooking you can follow a recipe step by step and most likely you'll get a good product... Or you can go off the beaten path and cook by sense and what you feel and with that method it could all go horribly wrong or it could be something amazing you know, this is where I think a lil skill in finesse comes into play... Excuse my rant brother this is what happens when I get a hold of some quality purp oh and I found a seed!! Haha thanks for stopping by KCMP :thumb::thanks::passitleft:

I don't know about all that miller, defol or a decent plucking means (to me) better air flow, less chances of mildew or rot, and more light for more bud sights more weight and length too. Marijuana is flower that contains chlorophyll which means in my ghetto brain that it can pull its own energy from its light source so yes during veg and early and even in to the mid stages of flowering keep as much fan leaves as you can with out over cramping your grow area of course... But after that for me at least in indoor growing I think a proper plucking is needed so that way you can really pack on weight and get nice big buds not just fat but long, ya dig :thumb:

What that means is you need to control your plants so you maximize kola's while keeping you plant trained. I know it's a hard concept to grasp because I didn't get it either. I'm sure your a smart guy with good common sense. I have an experienced team in my local grow store. I culled some plants and not others and saw what the effect was between plants. But please rock on. I'm down for your grow experience. I'm still a new guy too.

What concept is that? My form of control is a natural play it as you go approach which also incudes trimming and defoliation every now and then, I believe that training should be done at the earliest stages possible and that during the mid to later flower time the most the girl should be getting is a strong dose of nutes and a ever occurring plucking (every time I open my tent which is quite a bit I take a leaf or two) after each feeding I give them a more substantial plucking and cut taking. This is a method that I've worked up with trying to marriage what I was taught outdoor years ago and what I've read and gathered online. As I said before great things can come if you go off the beaten path... or things could go to hell haha:rofl:

I'm sorry, you over thinking this. Professional growers never cut leaves. Ever. Now, that's not me either, but the longer you train at your craft. The better you we I'll get. If I'm not mistaken, this is your first grow. This hobby has a steep learning curve. Your doing better than most so keep it up and do what you want.

Okay miller how am I over thinking this? That's one of the simplest methods I've seen, also correction this is my first "indoor" grow, I have grown several seasons outdoors about 5 years ago as stated in the early pages of this journal also. You see this is what frustrates me in this community is when people don't get that there are a hundred ways to skin a cat some easier some harder either way ya get the job done. Indoor Marijuana growing is still a relatively new thing in the grand word of growing plants for consumption. Also what a professional grower in your area is doing and what professional growers are doing in my area are probably vastly different trust me. I said on my first post for this journal "be cool if differences of opinions come up" you keep trying to remind me that I'm "new" which I'm not as stated and shown (at this point) and that this is hobby cause if you've read this journal all the way threw you could surmise that after being wrongfully terminated this grow isn't a hobby it's all I got to be honest. I'm not being rude just honest I've stated everything prior to this brother... I'm open to all opinions when they a line with mines or don't directly contradict my grow style and I'm open for debate when its founded or needed but the gal's are safe and it's not causing any harm at this point.

Hey bpo

Good looking plants I'm just gunna pull up a chair and tag along for the ride .
Dreadednorth is your local legit??? Not to sound creepy cause if so that's where my grandma was born and raised how cool huh? Cant wait to tell her haha  and thanks for doing so brother :passitleft:

As far as defoliation goes, it's very common from what I've seen and I do it myself. :scratchinghead:
That's what I'm saying seems like a pretty well used method throughout most circle's, got a smoke report on the Red Dragon yet Strykr?

There are alot of defoliation haters out there but I find it a very effective technique. I just pulled a ton of leaves off and I am six weeks into flower.
I don't get it but to each is they're own, the end will show hopefully, I just dislike people throwing the "new" thing in your face cause they half read a journal. But its whatever, I'm thinking about entering one of the gals next month are you still doing the same?

Hey man Santa came early and dropped off a Mars II 900 :thumb: how long do you use veg only switch before hitting the bloom too?

Congrats man :thumb: my Mars doesn't have a choice, but my personal opinion I would put the light higher than 24 say almost 32 inches turn on both and drop your light down throughout the following days, I don't know how I feel vet/bloom only led's, I say why not miss the spectrums... but that's just how I feel :passitleft:

Oh ok, I thought your 700 was pretty much the same with both switches. Is it that 900 and larger get both switches. When I ordered it I was thinking it was full spectrum, didn't even know it had switches till I opened the box. I wanna use just veg for a while if it isn't gonna inhibit growth compared to both on (just to save a little electric for a while). I guess maybe I can find some info in the cluster of posts on mars hydro thread. Thanks for the advice man.

I'm pretty sure that the growth selection switches were a pretty new upgrade... funny thing I noticed it the day I got mines in the mail I went online and I was left like Ralphie on the toilet saying son of bitch haha I finally buy the light then you give it a new feature!? but it was all
good but yeah most defiantly if you can get away with using less power then do it brother :thumb: being thrifty is nifty I'm gonna stop by the journal.
