I'm lazy so I just throw the peels in my rice cooker and boil for a few minutes, but would go your route if I had a house.

Really what I do is I will put peels in the blender with a bit of distilled water and make a slurry than I add that slury to more Distilled water At about 78F about 500 ml for every 500 ml of slury Than I put in a sealed container In darkness And ferment it for a while until it becomes a really consistent viscosity with out separation When I mix it I will than add some fresh aloe gel as a wetting agent And to add micronutrients and feed directly to my Potted aloe and Vegi gardenI'm lazy so I just throw the peels in my rice cooker and boil for a few minutes, but would go your route if I had a house.
