3rd Generation Do-Si-Do

just trimmed and watered my smaller girl. after stripping of a bunch of leaves I can see just how messed up she is. bad genetics for sure. notice how she leans, the main stalk has corkscrewed. not sure to handle this one, for now she needs to bulk up

my big girl is very happy today. with my lights at the proper distance she has much better color... she started smelling like cannabis today. up until now the smell was just a generic green smell.

I also have 2 bonsai plants in the background in this grow. if they continue to do well I'll show more of em. there is very little room for them in the box they have spent most of the time on a windowsill but they're getting to big to keep them there

all in all things are going really good. they have stopped yellowing at the tips of the leaves. now that I have topped the big one she's not growing vertically as fast it's easier to maintain the proper light distance.

was topping a branch on the smaller plant and noticed she's got pre-flowers all over??? it's only week 5 with 18 hrs of light. could she be auto flower?

should I be concerned with how she points upward ? when researching light stress I came across an article saying if your plant appears to be "praying " it's a sign that the lights are too close. this morning I looked in at them before the lights came on and they were already pointing up. anyone have any thoughts on that ?

well It's 5 weeks into this grow. the girls seem healthy and happy. the bigger of the 2 is growing really strong she has had branches tied down bent and snapped without any complaint. the smaller girl is showing pre-flowers all over. she's not as well structured as her sister she's growing kinda crooked . but she's very bushy. still haven't decided how handle her .

while the girls were sunbathing I cleaned up the growbox and reworked it a bit. the bigger one felt a bit light so checked her with the dipstick and she was dry. I added half of a teaspoon of the terp tea mix to a gallon of water shook let it sit for an hour shook an watered. I know it's a weak mix she can always have more later

the girls looked very happy this morning. the bigger one is growing fast, I'm a bit concerned how thin her frame is... need to figure out what will beef up her stalk an branches. usually a fan exercising them is enough th fatten em up.

I rolled the girls into the sun. is it confusing for them to go from artificial light to real sun? they seem to like it and I can shut down my lights for 3 hrs

watered an fed the smaller girl. I added the dry terp tea mix to the water. I figured it was better than top dressing, more even distribution, plus the powder dosen't saturate very well. it took a good hour of shaking to dissolve.

the bigger girl need trimming and cropping, she should grow at a uniformed hight now. trimmed lower stalks and inward growing leaves. she should fill out in time for 12/12.

bent over the very top 2 and topped all the other top branches. I think there is now 28 tops, could be 30 it's kinda hard to get a count.

I'm still seeing burnt tips and they look like they could be getting too much nitrogen. it's a couple of weeks until the switch to flower I think no more nutes with nitrogen. so just water for the next week then start flowering nutes.
