Wash em immediately before they dry out. Cool water, not cold. It will turn your trichomes brittle and off they'll come. Hence the ice in ice water hash, you basically freeze and knock off all the glands. It looks like you will be okay. We got a gross smelling bud one time from our guy and it looked like this. Huge difference from yours lol

Nah they smell like some dank buds no moldy smell that i can pick up on.. im starting to think i was wrong.... god dammit i looked up pics of trichromes again and i see them in some but not others... is this just something people dont normally pick up on? Im too observant why could i have just not noticed anything and kept going lol ughh

There are millions of trichomes on a plant it'd be possible to miss them. There's a few diff types of trichomes. Diff strains have different sized glands so maybe it is strain dependent, or just the genetics of that particular strain/phenotype.

That one pic that said it was powdery mildew had those on the buds so thats what i thought it was but i must be wrong and maybe i totally missed the powdery mildew. Lol ohh i feel oh so smart right now >.>

If you are feeling regret and they are still in the stem. Throw them back in. What is the worst case. You have to wash it off in a few days when there are bigger buds.

Yea I'd say if you can't smell anything funky besides the expected funk, plus it doesn't look moldy or off in anyway to the naked eye... If they were my buds I would be shitting bricks of joy not stress!

I understand the over analyzing and the worry, I'm on my first run too and am always stressed and looking at every little detail too. That's why I lurk around the mag all day comparing my run to others that were at the same point to see what tragic mistakes I've made lol!

Maybe the fact that you knew your RH was a high for a bit coupled with the spiky trichs (hopefully that's what they are!) got those gears turning and thinking the worst...

Anyway, whatever happens you rocked it. On a side note, I agree with you on Illinois. Grew up in Rockford and dipped out as soon as I got outta high school, never looked back. I'm in AZ now which isn't much better really but damn I hated Illinois...

No prob...The only reason I know this is because I went through the same thing Toasted did... There's a ton of bad advice on the internet and pictures of PM are one of them. I've seen this mistaken for mold a million times... I just glade i could help and maybe spread a little knowledge while I'm at it..

And twox saves the day... thanks for that man i can rest a little easier tonight.. wish i wouldn't have decarbed all the weed i bought but honestly it was shit anyways lol didnt want to smoke anymore of it. You thought the same thing huh.. glad i wasnt the only one. Thankfully i only cut those four branches.. i threw the plants back in the tent and i hope they will be ok. I feel like brightlight knew the whole time and was sitting back laughing at me.. thats ok though sometimes its best to learn the hard way. Thank you for holding back if you knew it wasnt powdery mildew. Im never looking up pictures online again to compare that was a bad idea lol

Im glade it helped ease your mind. And yes, I went through the exact same thing. Lol. I freaked out over everything and experienced a lot more problems than you did on your first grow that turned out fantastic by the way. My first grow was a mess but it wasn't a failure and I had a ton of bud to smoke. I call it our learning faze and we all go through it. I was very quite when I joined and didnt make very many friends so I went through a lot by myself. I'm glade you been so social with everybody and have the support of the 420 army of growers.

It was hard to see you fly through so many emotions over your ladies, trust me, it gets easier. Just because issues arise doesn't make you a failure. Your first grow was a sucess and kinda made us all proud to have expeirenced it with you.

We all expeirence issues and I guarantee that if you keep growing your going to expeirence a whole lot more. Nothing ever goes exactly as planned everytime and if it does, than you need to be teaching us all to be better growers. Keep your head up bud and enjoy your harvest.

The secret to the second grow is to not be over confident. Stay vigilant and stick to what worked... No new nutes, use the same brand of soil, your now dialing in your grow.... Pretty soon you'll be able to understand them when there trying to communicate.. Sounds weird but it's the truth..
