2nd Grow - The Freak Is Back - LED 2017

Also here's a little look into my nutes and how it goes down. I posted this on GMs thread and thought it would be good info for here to!!

I'm not talking about leaves, can you kinda push all the good stuff together a little and lower the light a tad? When I was growing with my P lamps ( I've been told not to talk about them), they would actually touch the fixture once and a while. I don't think your lamp will bleach you stuff. Even if it did, it's not that big of a deal, you just found your limit. Back it off a little and try it again

Hmmmmm.. I hadn't thought of lowering them. I can, yes. Would I like to? It makes me nervous haha. Let me ponder it a little lol. Lights turn on in 10 min.

I'm just being nosey. Sometimes unsolicited advise isnt a good idea. Please understand I don't mean any disrespect and that I wouldn't say anything if i didnt care.

Once the stretch is finished you can get that light in the sweetspot... more or less. I personally believe you will gain some weight if youre cool with lowering your lights. But if your plants catch on fire, or your leaves dry up and fall off its not my fault. Haha

Tell you what... lower them slowly till you see a reaction (or till you no longer feel comfortable with it.) I would be willing to bet you would be fine at 10 inches, maybe even lower. At this point a few inches really matter with LEDs.

The light in the first picture is under 12 inches, and i will be going lower in flower. This light has the ridiculous veg. bloom, switches and another 40 watts in white LED. They are all on right now.

The second and third pics show bleaching. If this happens, pull the lights away 10 inches or so for a day or two. Moving it back a couple inches won't stop the bleaching.

Honestly man, if I've overstepped I truly apologize. Your my boy! My grow would be vastly different than what I have right now, if it weren't for you! and i thank you for that. Just ponder it...

No offense taken at all my friend!! No worries. I appreciate the advice huge. Now I'm wanting to lower them haha. You're my boy blue! :)

Oh ya! Veg space update! I trimmed Mom back huge. (Still don't actually know if she's a mom hahaha.) My cloner/veg system is working amazing. They go from cloner sleeve to mesh pot with clay then stay in this system until harvest then into the flower system they go! I'm super pleased how well it's working.

You have excellent coverage with the 2 lights. I bet you would see some positive results by lowering them 4 inches. Ok I'm done. haha

Hi,

Maybe you could invest in a lux meter. Thanks to that you will be able to put the lights at the perfect distance depending of the amount of lux. You can find some information here for example

How to Use a Cheap Lux Meter to Increase Yields | Grow Weed Easy

It says it doesn't work for led but look on YouTube and forums you ll see many people use it and it works pretty well (especially the black and orange model that we often see and which I own). What if you go outside on a bright sunny day it s around 90000 lux. So goal is to try to approach this inside with the leds. After reading multiple websites about perfect lux and par for the plants I came to always try to be close to 80000 lux. I have already had plants under constant almost 95000 lux without trouble. I also tried more than 100000 lux by placing the led even closer but had light burn. With 80000 lux it s seems perfect as there is also less heat on the top of the plant (depending if your grow space is cold or already to warm). Have a look on Google about it. From what I saw 80000 is very good

Don't hesitate to visit my grow if you have any insight or advice

Stltoed!! Gahh.. I go on Amazon for light ratchets and end up spending 50$ lol!!. Ah well, was an excuse to pull the trigger on things I needed.
