2L Hempy Coco Coir

Update: 4th Tray added

Just added another 8 to the cycle; Pineapple Chunk, Grape God, Cheese, and Heavy Duty Fruity, totaling 31 bottles and going strong. These babies are quite small but they'll get to 20+ inches in one week.

The older ones have small bud sites going. 1024 takes a bit longer to flower (Sativa Dominant pheno), while the 3rd batch already at caught up.

Another tray is due in 14 days. By then, I'll be adding in another light (400w or 600w depends on weather). The weather is still inconsistent with warm/cold so I'll wait a bit. When the tent is running full capacity I'll install the pvc water drip system (it will be DIY), for now I use 3.5ft pvc with a funnel attached to the end to water each bottles, less stressful from being inside the tent reaching in between branches.

Are you serious?? 20+ inches in one week? I've heard of up to 3 inches a day using DWC with undercurrent. That's awesome!

Can you show a pic of your watering contraption? Sounds interesting...

that funnel idea is genius bro, I never though of that, but it sure beats getting a bottle or watering can in the deep jungle

The funnel is temporally until the tent is full then the water drip system will be in place.

Looking great, Twelve! :bravo:

I can't wait to see the tent full! :MoreNutes:

I'm starting my first 7 plants on 12/12 tomorrow. :yahoo:

4 more trays and they'll be full. Should be by the end of the month. The closet can hold 5 additional trays, so total we'll have 104 plants (clones). Should be harvesting weekly by the end of November. Can't wait to see your plants stretch and bloom Mr Krip!

I apologize it's two weeks not one. Just looked over my notes again and yes the stretch is crazy in first few weeks of bloom. The stem is quite thick on the older ones, stopped at 32 inches, the nute (BPN) and coco coir hempy provide suitable home for fast growth. Also, the plants are under 9/15 instead of 12/12.

I'll have the pic up when I built one. Right now they're mental note. Should look similar to the 1/2in pvc setup in diy aero cloner but they'll be place between the bottles. Should have them up by the end of the month when the tent is full. Latest will be first week of Nov.

Progressing quickly they all look so healthy and happy treating them well bro.
Been looking every were for them 2L bottle holders there like rocking horse shit!

Thanks GodSpeed. The 2L bottle holder is not necessary if you can't find them. Plastic tote with low height will work too.

Question about your dripp system

Will you have multiple res's to hold diffrent strength nutrient solutions to aid your sog?

Good question. Although with growing my strain I'd just start them at 700PPM and then go to full strength at the first res change and be done with it. When Xare incorporated his drip system he didn't have to worry about it because he ran Lucas Formula from start to finish with no problems.

12 will figure it out. He's a mad scientist.

This is only a sketch. Planning to have 4 pipes each to different stage of flowering:

1st pipe: 1-2 weeks in bloom:
  • 1st set (1-6 days) 500 PPM - 7th day flush
  • 2nd set (1-6 days) 800 PPM - 7th day flush
2nd pipe: 2-4 weeks in bloom:
  • 1st set (1-6 days) 1000 PPM - 7th day flush
  • 2nd set (1-6 days) 1500 PPM - 7th day flush
3rd pipe: 4-6 weeks in bloom:
  • 1st set (1-6 days) 500 PPM - 7th day flush
  • 2nd set (1-6 days) 800 PPM - 7th day flush
4th pipe: 6-8 weeks in bloom:
  • Flush

Feeding the 3rd pipe first with the highest PPM, then add more water dilute the remaining nutes down for the 2nd set, then again for the 1st set, and only use pure water for the last set (4th, close to harvesting) for the flush.

Each set only uses 1/4 of 5gal to refill. The close/open valve on each pipe will help achieve this without having multiple reservoir or mixing for each stages of flowering. This uses one mix (starting from the highest PPM) and work down until the water is clear for flushing the plants close to harvesting.

Each pipe goes in between the two bottles, and each bottles is feed with a drip pipe coming off the main pvc. This will be manual on/off system, not automatic. Don't like the idea of water running when I'm not there. Even get stressed out on the DIY aero, but I have secured any leaks from the DIY aero by putting the unit inside a bigger tote. For this system I'm not so sure. There are lots of joints and one might bust open. Being there with the plants will help monitor everything in action. Shouldn't take no more than 5mins to water/feed the plants once this system is installed.

This is just a design, have not start crafting yet. If anyone have suggestion I'll consider. Thanks!

Do you know if Xare still growing with 2L? I wonder what's the Lucas Formula for BPN will be?

Twelve, do yourself a favor and cut 5 plants out and just do 99. Once you hit 100 plants, you run a MUCH higher risk!

At first glance I thought you said take out 5 plants and put in 5 of the C99. Then I re-read and get what you mean. Does the 99 plants counts as total or flowering only? Veg tent holds about 20 or so plants, plus 23 clones (in DIY Aero), plus 32 in flower at the moment. What about seeds? I plan on creating 1 million seeds...

You seem to have a lot going on right now. Can't wait to see everything in full swing. My size constraint prevents me from adding everything I want.

Hopefully as I gain more experience, I can add things to my grow as I go.:thumb:

Excellent makes perfect sense, design looks good no potential flaws simple and effective! Think il be making myself one of Theese.

:D + Rep bro

Not sure how I missed this one at the start. subbed.
I may have missed it, what size drip heads are you using and what is the duration and frequency of watering in the drip system?

I believe it's the total number of plants, and I believe the charge is something like "consipiracy to grow over 100 plants". But, once you go over 99 plants, the feds get involved and you face increased minimum sentencing, asset forfeiture, and other bad stuff like that, which is why I said to keep the total number of plants under 100. I don't believe seeds are counted, but if they find a "million", who knows what the feds would do!

DISCLAIMER: I'm NOT a lawyer, but this is my understanding of the law!

Welcome VARick! Not sure about the drip size yet, maybe no drips and just simple tube connecting to the botles and flood it real fast. I have to run few tests once it's constructed to see which is more effective. Water/feed once a day first thing when the lights are on.
