The ladies are looking awesome, as usual...and I'm loving the jars! Didn't' even think about the logo... Those jars are going to be collectors items some day!

This is C99 (Cinderella 99). Legend said that this is the holy grail. It looks holy, until a smoke test we'll never know. Anyone smoked this strain before? Good stuff? From the grow perspective she is a great plant no trouble at all.

Mosco Seed's Cinderella99 is one of the very few strains that I have purchased twice. To me it was that damn good. I'll be growing it again this year. Very nice looking nugs.

420% agree with you there. There are some teas at my co-op that I get EVERY TIME I'm there. It's made with C-99 and I can't get enough of them.

Pretty high (pun intended) praise for the C99... I had to educate myself a bit, I knew there were others, but I always thought of Nirvana when I heard C99. But now Mr Smith started me on a bit of a quest, and I found out about the Mosca Cinderella 99 BX-1 seeds that are supposed to be a special back-cross. Herbies Seeds sells them here: Mosca Cinderella 99 BX-1 Seeds - Updated:12/02/2012.

My apologies if I missed it Twelve, but is this the same strain you're growing? I don't like ordering seeds, so what I do is try to compile a list of strains that I hear good things about for future purchases... It sounds like C99 needs to be on my short list, along with the PE and Lucy! I can hardly wait for the smoke report!

:Namaste:

First let me warn you. If you don't have a whole lot of money, I can tell you from personal experience, hydro can get very expensive, very quickly. Initial setup for my veg bin was easily over $100 and I cut a few dollar corners. I am fortunate enough to live in a place that has, if you know what to look for, alternatives to the "Hydroponic" tools, equipment, and supplies. But on lights, and substrate there is no alternative. The Hydrotone for this one bin was 30 bucks, and the lights were over 70. That doesn't include bin itself, reservoir, pumps, tubing, drip stakes, drain plumbing, pH products, rockwool, and the nutrients. And this is ONLY for my mothers. That does not include flowering. I clone in a separate bin, and I flower in yet another two bins. Total setup cost, seed to harvest, even with most of it DIY was almost $1000. If I had known that I would be spending that much when choosing my grow style this time around, I might have stayed with soil. Yes, it started small, and worked up to what I have now, because I knew I wouldn't be needing a flower box right off. That's the only reason I was able to do it on my meager income.

With all that in mind, though, now that I'm completely hydro, I would NEVER go back to just soil and organics ever again. Maintenance is a bit of a chore but it's easily done, and only every 2 weeks. And the re-usability of most of the products makes the investment have a better return in the long run. I just have to remember to check pH every day, or suffer the consequences.

Remember that choosing a grow style is best suited to matching your personal preferences and lifestyle, if you like doing math every day, making careful calculations, and tinkering every day, then hydro is for you. If you tend to be a tad forgetful, and tend to be more of an up-n-at'em type person, soil may be better for you, as it can be a bit more forgiving if you miss a day or two.

Yes, I think we saw all those pictures before.... I even commented on them before, I think.

You're welcome for the information. Remember that this is just one experience of many. Others may differ, and yet others may disagree, but as someone that has recently paid for all of it, and is still not 420% done, it is fresh in my mind.

Hey mate......

Firstly nice journal. I have only flicked through, there's alot to read but i will sit down and take the time soon as i have it. I have a question and if its in ur journal i do apologise. Basically when u use ur aero cloner what do u use? Normally i do my cuttings in jiffy pellets, first dipping cuttings in clonex then soakin pellets in superthrive and root excellurator (which is an amazing product by the way, not available in states though or so i believe). I get like 99%success rate but it takes like 3 weeks for roots to pop through pellets. i have purchased an aero cloner but not sure whether to use plain water or nutes? I was thinking dip clones in clonex as usual to prevent embolism and make a seal for bacteria and dirt etc, then using R/O water with weak root excellurator/superthrive solution? Maybe even foliar spray with touch nitrozyme mixed with wetting agent?

Please let me know ur thoughts on this. Thanks matey...............

when i clone ,i just use great non chl. water///becareful easy to burn them....:420:

Astonr420 you'll get yours soon! Keep up the good growing and community service.

GodSpeed Thank you. These are part of the "P-Series", the largest is 32oz, then 22oz, and 7oz and finally smallest is 4oz. How much depends on the nug density and size.

missbud thank you, the colors must be from the white balance it sometimes enhance it, lol.

DeerHunter33 coco should be ok for DWC if you have a net screen in there to hold back the coco from falling through the net pods. Most common is use it with hydrotons. There are many different types of hydro systems research which one you're more comfortable with and have the budget for. jandre2k3 got some good advice!

Fratdogg223 Thanks for the link on the C99 BX-1. The one I got is from Female Seeds, same strain suppose to be from the original Grim Bros, and of course they only offer feminized seeds. Could use a male C99 for the breeding program I might have to grab a pack from Herbies since other seed bank don't carry Mosca Seeds or currently sold out. Will have the smoke report up in few weeks. The oldest got one more week to go, and 5 days drying should be good enough for first sample. Hehe

Cultivator welcome to the journal! After researching and trying out different products to promote fast growth, strong muscular plant, snow storm effects on buds, it just does not deliver often caused more problems than it can benefit. I try to the simple approach first if that does not work, I'll try a simpler approach. For the aero this is what I do.

Take some cuttings on top of the plant at lease 4-6 inches long. This to help keep the mother plant from becoming a giant and allow lower branches to become top. Then, I clip the leaves in 1/2. This to help reduce crowding when placed clones are next together for rooting and any unwanted pests you have at lease 1/2 of them are gone, from the clone, lol. Then, slide into the neoprene and place on the aero. The arero itself runs on tap water, no pH, no nutrients or hormone just plain water with the pump going 24/0. I don't dip the clones in anything prior to placing them in the aero. Then we wait for 1 week for results. Hope that helps good luck.

hey 12 can u give me your thums up or down,if i try it , wat u think about a drip circle, ,can u tell me, u thinkthat be, better,???:thankyou::420:

I've been experimenting by incorporating DWC hydroponic to the 1L hempy coco coir. Basically, the 2L bottle cut in half, the top piece is flipped upside down and place into the bottom piece. The top piece has holes for roots to grow through to hit the reservoir, and the reservoir has a hole for access water to flow out (2in down from the top), hempy DWC. The insert is still coco coir (inexpensive and it works).

Got the same strain in 1L and 1L DWC, the DWC has thicker stem, faster growth, over all with vigor on overdrive. I'm starting to add more 1L DWC to the room, not putting all the eggs in one basket yet. From what I see the plant in 1L DWC looks so good! Pics and info soon...

Does anyone have any experience with soil 2L's? I got some hempies going that are supporting 3ft tall plants. I'm figuring they prolly won't grow as large right? What do ya think?
