2L Hempy Coco Coir

OG13 ~ Sounds like that PPP is a keeper! Though it is clone only have you thought about creating some feminized seed to stock away the genetic? Just in case something happens to the living plant you still have the genetic, self-pollinated, feminized seed standing by. Did you get it tested at full spectrum lab? What was the Cannabinoids profile/ratio on the PPP that you got?

It's been on my mind since the test (I will have to find the whole sheet). That is why I started the Arduino quest, ultimately that will be one of the first things done w/ CS spray in the seed/sex boxes I'm making. I've got some old Haze/G13 projects I started in '87 that are needing some work first (ready to make the F2s now, got male and female). PPP will be Jan/Feb hopefully.

:thanks:

I'm hearing good things about PPP, is Nirvana the only breeder of this strain? I just got one bean of their PPP and am really anxious to grow it out

So it has been awhile since I have been on your journal( or on the computer for that matter) and I have to say wow. Every time i come back you have way more information and the detail and work you put into everything is impeccable. People like you are pride of any online community for sure.

I cannot praise you enough and all your efforts. You truly inspire me to always improve myself.

Is BPN a softer nute? I seem to be able to increase ppm a lil more than I am used too with other nute lines.

Maybe other companies use less pure raw materials with more impurities that will contribute to the dissolved solids. I search for the best and purest materials within a decent price range. Spending $1.8 per pound for greenhouse grade or technical grade materials materials is a no brainer if you are going to spend $1.40 on agriculture grade raw materials of lesser quality. that's my 2 cents. Also, for some odd reason, plants just like BPN hehehe :)

As an example, when I add sulfate of potash to some of my products, I can choose from brands that contain up to 3% calcium nitrate, some sodium, and other impurities. Or I can just spend a few dollars more and buy ultra-fine sulfate of potash at 52% with no impurities at all. no brainer to me......get the good stuff

Blue Planet Nutrients ~ Thanks Corey, appreciate the xmas present! Working on growing baseball bats and the bloom booster will come in handy. Great to know you put high quality ingredients in your products. Thanks for keeping us in mind when you create the nutes.

Mr Smith ~ Can go pretty high up before seeing nute burn. I went too high one time and it burn the plants after that. Now, I learn how to adjust the strength, no more burn.

OG13 ~ If you can find the PPP test results would like to see the sheet for details. I'm always curious to see the actual data. Great to see you getting back into breeding. Can't wait what comes out of your breeding project. F2 here we go! Looking forward to the sex box.

ThatOneGuyy ~ Was wondering where you were. Welcome back! Thanks for the kind words.

Harvest Day - 17 plants

MG_2477.jpg
MG_2484.jpg

Harvested 17 plants, (16) 1024, (1) Pineapple Express, and (1) Afghan Kush. Included a yard stick in the shot for size. :Namaste:

17 plants out, 17 plants in (they already got 2 weeks in bloom from the closet). Love the Pineapple Express, second run of this strain came out way better than the first run, remember the water cured buds? Yeah that was the first run.

The 2L SOG with coco coir is easy and forgiving, also using BPN has made growing much more fun. My experimentation with grow medium and nutrients is complete, I'm sticking to these two combination because it works for me. That's not where I dry them just hung there for a group shot. Keep in mind that yield is reduced due to seed production for my breeding program. Now, I have over a thousand seeds...

Next run will be seedless in the new bloom room while the tent in a different room will continue to use for breeding. The new room will have the 1000w HPS, 1000w ballast, and huge reflector, all quality equipments. As you can tell I'm getting serious, haha. Expecting to see baseball bats, denser nugs, and 2x sticky under the new light in 3-4 weeks. Just want a different experience growing under 1000w instead of 600w's.

Can't wait to start making hash for the first time after these are dry, skipping curing since we're not smoking the buds.

Still awaiting the date i can place my seed order! Good to see you stepping it up a level bro, iv always been a bit scared to use k's due to excess heat sig and alot of traffic in the air around were im from, single 600 or dual 400's are max iv run and i was shitting it with the dual lol

Your going to love the hash man i had to stop making it because i turned me zombie wasteman :) only smoke that shit last thing at night now!

T12,What's your strongest bpn nute strength in ppm and quantity? Is your system drain to waste or recirculate? You can go higher with drain to waste. There is another test I wish to run next year with coco coir drain to waste and large plants. I get pretty serious with my diy experiments so I could use a respected grower's opinian instead of dialing out with more than one test grow.

Good luck with the 1000watter. My first one I actually bought from 420(Rob) my first year with 420 magazine. I later started playing with 600s more for light spread but still run 1 to 2 1000watters in some grow ops.

I wish to play with coco coir mainly because that medium has specific benefits for the plant like a shitload of potasium and stuff like that instead of the inert mediums I use today.

In 2 years I want to play with breeding, its a promise I made to a fellow grower who is nolonger with us with the username P420(Paralized420). My intentions are to keep that promise so I really like your work bro.

Re: Harvest Day - 17 plants

Awesome shot of the forest. Reminiscent of a cave with the stalagmites and stalactites. I have the same initial feeling on the forgiveness value of coco. Stay tuned for my comparison SOG, which will be 1/2 coco, 1/2 perlite/vermiculite mix. I think coco gives denser growth and starts out much faster, but lately the p/v's have been drinking more, and catching up to the coco's in overall size, while still being skinnier. So, how do you feel about the airpots compared to the 2L's? Don't you have your mom's in airpots? is it the cost keeping you from planting your SOG in them, or something else?

bigirishdoode ~ Thank you. Can't wait for the 1K too.

GodSpeed ~ Hopefully one day. Yeah, heat control is required for higher wattage. You can always vent up to the attic where the ac/heat comes from in the room. The hash sounds good can't wait will work on it next week.

Mr Smith ~ During week 4 in bloom I had the PPM at 1300 for 5gal. That's when it burn the plant. However, going 1300 towards the last few weeks seems fine. It's a drain to waste system. Right now I'm using 420fied's feeding schedule for 3-parts for a few grow to get the feel of the nutrients. Did a few smoke test and the bud burns white without flushing. Smooth hits all the way.

Try out coco to see how it works for you. I love it. The potassium from coco will definitely help some during flowering like a mini bloom booster.

Breeding is fun. Require good record keeping and organization if not things can get confusing. When you're ready we would like to see what you come up with. I did not have the pleasure in meeting your friend P420, I'm sure he would love to see your journey into the breeding world.

SauronBlue ~ Looking forward to your coco and P/V comparison grow. I've flowered airpots a few times with soil. Right now the airpots are only for veg. Use 3gal, and 2gal for mothers. Yes, it will cost more to run airpots, will need hundreds, and require more water since they dry out faster than 2L container with evaporation through the holes and plants usage.

Hey Twelve12, easy man. Looking amazing!!!:goodjob: Love how much love you put into your grows man, I mean look at that bud shot with the glove!! Clean as it comes! Like it. Hope it an amazing smoke for you man.
Just a thought man, wouldn't it be better drying the bud in a dark area to stop chlorophyll reproduction?
Great looking plants any way, just wish we could all share lol..:peace:

JBC420 ~ Thank you. I wear gloves when dealing with sticky stuff. Pain to wash it off the oil is too dense. Good stuff. The smoke is great had a test smoke a few days back with sample nug. I don't dry it there, just hung it for group shot, I have them in the semi-dark area within the room should be good.

Unfortunately i would have to vent into my next door neighbours loft as my loft is my flower room, limited space calls for utilisation of wasted area, Loft = big space. Im going to have to figure out of way of exhausting excess heat without compromising my operation.

Pineapple Express is looking tasty bro :welldone:
