From Planet Natural...

Avoid importing soil or other growing medium of unknown origin into your growing space. Many nursery plants, especially those from large, commercial growers, have been found to carry root aphids and their eggs into green houses.

Use yellow sticky traps across indoor grow spaces to discover signs of root aphids on the move.

Pay careful attention to your plants. Roots that are visible in grow cups and other hydroponic methods should be periodically inspected. The small, usually white mite stage may be noticeable attached to the sides of grow cups, tanks and trays.

Beneficial nematodes introduced to hydroponic solutions at the first sign of infestation may slow the spread of root aphids.

With lights off, saturate the growing medium with a solution of Nuke Em (1 oz/ 31 oz water). Slowly pour near the plant stem into the soil and let stand for at least 1 hour — longer contact times are best. Rinse the media before turning lights back on.

BotaniGard ES is a highly effective biological insecticide containing Beauveria bassiana, an entomopathogenic fungus that attacks a long-list of troublesome crop pests – even resistant strains! Weekly applications can prevent insect population explosions and provide protection equal to or better than conventional chemical pesticides.

When treating aphids in various indoor growing mediums, complete and thorough coverage of infected areas is critical to control. Submerge infested grow cups and root balls completely in a pyrethrum concentrate for a half-minute or more, gently swirling roots and medium to insure complete saturation.

Remove badly infested plants. No orchid, no herb or flowering perennial is worth risking your other plants and the health of your entire grow space in an attempt to wait out harvest on an affected plant. - So, what Pennywise said.

I doubt they are RA. If they are larvae like worms around the seed before there was roots not RA.
Root aphids life cycle there is no larvae. And root aphids are very very hard to get rid of with anything over the counter. Get some Bti if there is larvae.

Agreed Shotta....root aphids are near impossible to destroy.
I have history with those lil buggers.

I learned the hard way and spent money on products that never worked. They are resilient and hard to kill. Not like a soft bodied aphid you find on the plant. These little a holes are in my opinion the worst pest to get in your garden. Once you have those you laugh at mites and fungus gnats cause they are manageable. Scrap your grow if you get them. Not even worth the effort to try and rid them with any products. At least your good Magoo worms are a nuisance but bti will work in a matter of a week and Bti is not harmful too beneficials or the microbial herd. Can be applied with your watering or you can Soak mosquito dunks in your water with some aeration for 24 hrs. Before you feed

Yup...exactly Shotta....my feelings too. There really is NO worst pest to deal with.
I tried everything before i finally just bagged up all the affected soil....about 50 gals worth and put it outside in minus 20 degree weather .......froze the bastards then gave all that soil to my neighbor for his flowers....

So even a re-cook is of no help EVIL CRITERS

They could be pot worms they are tiny and white. Enchytraeidae
A google search pulls up something very similar except mine are smaller. Not saying that they couldn’t grow if they had more to eat. Lol.

one of my thoughts was fungus gnat larvae. But haven’t seen any gnats.

couple other factors that may or may not have any relevance: my dome over the little pots is not air tight at all. Actually it’s been hard to even keep rh up under the dome. The bottle of Transplant that I used was the same from previous grow but has been sitting for months unused. It was much thicker and required a lot of shaking to get it back to normal consistency. Also, it smelled far more like fish after this initial drench. It always has a fishy smell if you smell the liquid, but this time it smelled like fish just to walk in the room. That may not be a big deal but may have attracted something like a gnat that could have easily gotten to the pots. Plus there are 3 little pots and there seem to be varying number of pests in each. The Bubba was covered with worms coming out of the seeds and all in the soil around the seed. The Bubblegum had less but still a significant amount. The PuTang only had 1 that I saw and actually looked like it might make it.

:goodluck:

Ok....checked on the little ones this morning and I think the PuTang is gonna make it. The Indiana Bubblegum may make it as well. Will have to replace the Bubba Kush. And my new seeds from @Kitchenhawk arrived as well. So will be dropping 2 beans and keeping a close eye on the 2 that are still living. I’ll get a pic up later today! Hope everyone is having a great day!
