I know what you mean when you say you had to add a gallon of nutrients.
Some of my DWC will take 2 gallons a day; the bigger the plant the more she wants.

Biscotti Punch Day 42 of Flower .
I performed a reservoir change using only Ripen by General Hydro as she is in her final week before harvest. Bud are getting heavy.

She is still receiving reg. nutrients as she still has at least 2 weeks before harvest.
