1st Post First Attempt At Growing: Indoor LED Setup In Tent: Comments Welcome!

Looking great bro! :ganjamon::bravo: How’s it smelling in there?

Ahhh sounds amazing :yahoo: I’ll be doing some blueberry soon. What have you got planned next after this run?

Hey guys,

Hope this isn’t a stupid question.
I’ve seen that pistil colour is an indication of harvest times and that when majority of pistils have turned orange that the THC is at its highest level and ready for harvest.

Thing is.. my blueberry is looking like that right now?
The seedbank said 6-8 weeks which it’s at about 6 now..
surely it’s not ready? I was going to push her for another 2 and a bit weeks :hmmmm:

I've had quite a few strains that pushed out fresh white pistils toward the end of their lives. Even after most of the main pistols have turned & receded into the bud. Last effort to get knocked up before they're done...

Could be done then eh? What do the trich's say? Just don't check them on the coffee table. ;)

Hey brother Dean - I've had some strains push loads of orange hairs but the trichs weren't ready yet. I'm not sure but if you keep your eye on your trichs and everythings still looking clear, keep pushing her :meatballs::lot-o-toke:

Hey guys so I pulled her out of the tent today and had a good look and she’s probably about 50% dark pistils at this stage.

Guess I was just too baked last night when I was looking and freaked out :laughtwo:

So you guys are saying the pistil colour is definitely part of it but you need to check the trichomes too?
Are there any other things to watch for?

Cheers fellas have a good day!

the thricomes are the best way to tell when they are ready I wouldn't worry about the hairs turning. You want to see cloudy thricomes that is when it is at it's peak of ripeness. The more amber the more of a couch lock high you will get. I usually wait until I see the first amber thricomes then do my flush and chop 2 weeks after that

Thanks bro appreciate it.

I’d been on a few websites looking to research and multiple ones were talking about the hairs turning red as a sign of when to harvest.

I definitely have a lot of orange on there at the moment but some buds are still covered mostly in white.

I normally notice pistils changing first, then I'll notice a bit of leaf fade, the plant will slow down on drinking, and tricomes will start to turn amber.

Kind of a mix of all these... Most plants follow that pattern, but occasionally I've had plants finish without showing all of these indicators.
I still stick with tricome color as "the gold standard" of ripeness...

I vote trichomes as the primary indicator. I have red hairs up the ying yang on a couple of my flowering ladies and they aren't anywhere near to being done. Cheers HD, seems like just yesterday you were breaking branches and fighting that canopy height! Very nice, just a few strides to the finish! :headbanger::yahoo:

Nice bro that Blueberry Bliss is so frosty!:ganjamon:

Maybe a little, but what you're doing right now is working very well...that thing's looking awesome!

Ok so last day of week 5 today guys.

Few photo updates of the girls :yummy:

So I’ve noticed some amber trichomes on Blueberry but I’m sure most of them are still clear and not even cloudy?
Does anyone have any advice for me on this? She still has 2 weeks left in my books haha

Cheers guys much love! Have a good day!
