Took them out for a watering, it looks like the runt is getting N tox if I'm right? I have been watering both with distilled water wit cal mag ph'd to 6.5..Also topped the other, watered them both with plain distilled water since I was already flushing the runt. Strange how the one I jus topped isn't showing any signs the runt is.

Sad to say both had slight nute burn, the runt more then the other and only on 1 leaf on each plant. It sucks but is a learning experience, I'm jus glad I used less then half strength and caught it early enough. Both are looking back to normal already since yesterday's flush. Lots of new growth on both plants! I'm really liking how these are coming along compared to the unknowns I gave away.

Still looking good with a nice even spread of leaves. One of mine has had too much growth and it's making me worry .

I spoke to soon the runts nute burn progressed more, and the topped one has slight progression. I only flushed lightly the 1st time thinking that would get them back on track.. When I saw this today I immediately flushed both, but had to go back to work so the bottom part of the soil was jus sitting in the runoff. So I am gonna do one more flush jus to be sure I get all the nutes out. Sad day..

Yours lookin good, and your plants leaves arent burning to a crisp like mine so don't worry to much lol

Are you sure that's not nute splash rather than nute burn? It looks like the only effected leaves are ones that may have been touching the soil?

If it was only leaves that touched the soil I would agree but the leaves on the topped plant have never touched the soil, I'm also noticing a couple new leaves getting the burnt tips that are nowhere close to the soil. I shoulda took better pics the 1st time but I was in a rush. Now I'm not sure if I should flush them again, I read that when flushing you should use 4x the amount of the soil, that would mean 8 gallons for each one.. They've only gotten about 2 an a half gallons combined with both flushes is that enough? I thought it would be since there was more then 50% runoff. I'm down to flush with 8 gallons each but I'm not sure if me flushing the soil so much in a 3 day period good with ocean forest? Would that jus release more nutes that were in the soil already?

I am a newbie. And also using Fox Farm ocean forest soil. Definitely looks like it could be a little nute burn. It doesn't look too terrible. I wouldn't flush too much. Just water for the next week or so with plain pH water. I think that should help them :-) but like I said I am a newbie.

I'm gonna let the soil dry before watering and hope for the best, I feel like that's better then constantly drowning the roots. All I can do now is hope for the best.

So far the new growth isn't affected yet, but when I checked them today the tips of another older set of leaves had yellow tips that were barely showing. The thought of this spreading is really tempting for me to jus put 8 gallons through each plant and let them drain.
