it has been 17 outside should bugs be dead or in active. What do I do?

My basement is yucky and humid! so would the mini fridge or a cool dark spot in the house, by cool the house is usually 68-70 degree.I just store mine in a container in my basement. I have an desiccant pack in there to keep them all dry just in case.
any cool dark place will do
