1st Grow - Bubblelicious CFL & LED Grow Tent

for some reason I think that was a "real deal" thing and they replace his guitar...is that correct or am I just high :lot-o-toke:

they did, he made out like a bandit. United paid for the guitar, Taylor gave him a freebie, and he now tours with his band with quite the following. He made out.....I wish Southwest would break my iPad.

Day 39 Update. Both girls are doing awesome. Just wanted to share Kandy's pics today. Her bud development is looking nice! If I could keep the cat hair off of her that would be nice, lol

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Welcome to Day 40!

Both girls still look great. I keep waiting for the bottom to drop out of my grow, but fingers crossed, so far it has been a breeze. They got their second feeding with Cal-Mag yesterday, They seem to be drinking a lot faster now. What used to take them a week to drink now takes just a couple of days!

Bubba is showing more pistils and growing a bit taller, while Kandy is working hard on bud production. They both are smelling kind of sweet at this point.

On to the pics!

Have a great day everyone. That's an order!

so looking back at my grow so far, I was thinking about what helped me and how maybe I could pass along some info to new growers. I am a newbie myself, and am NO way a veteran grower. However, My grow seems to be going pretty well because I did some research, and learned along the way. I have a few tips for newbies and hope this will help someone....

1: Choose the right growing medium. for me, a beginner, Fox Farms ocean forest was a easy choice. Perfect for beginners. If you choose something different, ask advice from someone who has used it and how much experience they used with it.

2: Research lighting first. There are so many variables with lighting. Lumans, heat etc. This will not only depend on your grow space, but your budget, As most first growers find out, they end up upgrading lights first. If you research beforehand, you may save some money in the long run. For me the Znet series LED has worked wonders. Low imprint, and high yield. Almost No heat!

3: Smell. Get rid of it. Doesn't matter if you live in a smoke free zone. Respect your neighbors right to not smell your grow. Get a carbon filter and fan. This will not only keep smells at a minimum, but will also help with your airflow which is important in your grow area.

4: Water, Don't over do it! I suggest a moisture meter for beginners, then you can learn to "feel" how much water is in your planters. The old saying if in doubt, leave it alone comes to mind. It is better to underwater than overwater.

5: Nutrients: Do not over do it. Never start out at the manufactures recommended dose. Start at 1/4 strength and work your way up. Your plants will tell you what they need and what they don't. There are plenty of diagrams online for you to know what your plant is saying to you. listen to them.

6: Use the forum. Create a grow journal and ask for help when needed! Not only is it a great reference for future grows, but you have the added support from people who know what you are doing and what to expect.

7: Buy from sponsors. You are getting help now from 420Magazine. Buy your stuff from their sponsors!

I am sure I will add to this list later, was just thinking about my grow and wanted to in some way contribute to the community.
