I have a family of smokers. Lol. I’m gonna COB some of it. Thought about making some tincture and doing some gummies.

Oh man! Thanks for taking the time to read some of this! I’m puffing the little tester nug. It was a bit harsh at first puff. Second puff was better. Brought on a rush of energy with the feeling of numbness in my lips. Made me want to do some stuff so changed out the laundry and a dead lightbulb....
. very very enjoyable head high faded into a decent stone now. But behind my being lazy at the moment is the ability to get up and be active if the mood strikes me. Lol. I don’t think it will tonight!

A decent drying/cure does wonders for the smokeable stuff. I have been kinda sizing up my plant and figure I will trim pretty lightly, saving the trim for butter/tincture with some of the underweight larf. I will see how the smoke/buzz is before adding the underweight larf to the trim, if it's a 9/10, I will smoke the larf, otherwise, it just goes in the make.
I remember trying the dedoverde haze I grew early bc a bud fell off, I gave it a few days dry and tried it over the course of a few days....I was disappointed.
Two weeks longer on the plant, a proper drying, two weeks plus cure and the smoke was amazing.

Yay - glad it’s a nice toke Magoo 
It will certainly only get better when dried and cured proper like and yeah, if there’s still lots of clear then of course let it go a while. Personally I don’t mind a bit of clear. Especially on an indica. Looks like you’ve got things well in hand ... including the scoobs...

I guess I judged a book by the cover. When I hear “firsf grow” I think of a sickly looking plant in a solo cup of dirt under a CFL bulb... If all the first time growers found out about this, there would be a traffic jam here.
That’s the best first grow I’ve ever seen.

That’s a huge compliment Bobby! Much appreciated. It was a little nerve wracking spending the money up front for the setup but the timing was right and I wanted to do it right. And I just kept thinking it would be worth it and pay for itself pretty quickly. Probably not with this first grow but probably definitely after 2 I hope. That's a great theory about just spending the money up front on good equipment. It was my theory as well when I first started. I also tell people who try to follow my grows that if you use lesser equipment than you will get lesser results. You definitely made the right moves here and for a first grow, I agree it's one of the best I've seen and it will pay for itself very quickly. That will make improving on your 2nd grow much tougher but i'm excited to see grow 2 now. There are a couple of you guys that are about ready to get into their next grow and I'm more excited to follow those than even do my own journal! I keep saying I'm going to retire and just lurk in the background but I've still got a couple different grows I want to do before that.

Thanks Ase. That means a lot. I keep changing my mind about the next grow. Lol. Definitely doing the 707 Headband but may push the G13 Haze back a bit. Got a few additions to the seed collection headed this way. Some ATF from a friend on here and some Chem 91’ S1 from CSI Humboldt. The ATF are regular seeds I believe so may do those when I can pop a few and sex them but I can only have 4 plants at any time so it probably needs to be after these outside ones are done so I can do it right. I’m sure the chem and the Headband grow totally different. Maybe I should stick with the G13. Lol. These are the internal thoughts I have daily lately. I just need a bigger space and to live somewhere else! Lol.

You’ll make it to all of them and then back to your favorites. My choice is typically guided by specific effect of the medicine and then toss in one tried and true favorite. Your least favorite makes for good gifts and what I believe is respect and a responsibility to the medical plant and our fellow human. Good Karma, if you will...

Thanks Van! I’m excited at the prospects of growing a male for pollen. Also thinking about reversing one of the chems at some point. All of the above will be new to me. But the thought of the possibilities is exciting. Lol.

Job well done on the blue dream Magoo, I ran it last year and loved it, some different pheno's and one which reeked of lemons. I've just popped the rest of the pack I had left to give another round and hopefully find that lemon one again, she was a definite keeper. Very good daytime smoke which had me energetic and doing stuff too.

At the minute I'm doing a second run on some wedding cake and gelato#41 was hoping to find some keepers, not mega impressed with the gelato's,there's maybe a keeper on the wedding cake, I've just cracked some blue dreams, super silver haze, cookie pebbles, skitzo which is a skittles cross and some Mac crosses, hoping to get them done for Xmas but cutting it fine. What do your blue dreams smell like, I had a couple which were earthy, almost like a cookie cross. Stellar job for your 1st grow mate. My first journal I wrote the other week was the blue dream, it was from last year so a little short on detail as it was from memory, no wonder it's a popular strain, ideal for a heavy smoker as I can still function, no couch lock. Be interested to see what you do with your new soil.
