1st Grow, 2x2.5 Tent, Bogglegum, LED Moving To COB

@44 days-Not much to report today, got in the tent to check dampness from past feeding, inspect for sex and look at lower leaves. No nute burn.

They had a big feeding last Saturday, they feel lighter and the dampness meter shows the rear plant is dry and the front plant is 'almost' dry. Going to wait a couple days before giving them a large watering-probably 3/4g of CaMg water pHed. Going to see how they look tomorrow. They are starting to enter the stage where there taking on more water. This weekends feeding I will be introducing Tiger Bloom. So they will get BB/GB/TB at 3/2/2 ratio with a touch of open sesame just like in the past two feedings.

Tons of new growth. Lights are set at 125w and about 15" off plant tops. Temps over the weekend were cooler, tent ranged from 68-76 F. My humidity is maxing about 50% in the tent, sometimes going into the 40s. This makes me happy-as if it stays that way come bud should be easy to maintain.

I am really ready to flip this plants, but at 6 weeks I am going to let them veg for at least two more weeks. I am starting to hope I get a decent yield off these plants. Also need to start thinking about a scrog setup-although that complicates things as I can't really move the plants to flush them (if necessary). Dragging the shop vac into the closet every feeding or watering would be a PITA.

@45 days.

A little dry, gave each 500ml of pH6.9 rodi water.

They are looking a little more enthusiastic each day. Rear plant is still tied at 90, front plant is au natural. Looked at the pre-flowers, on both plants they are appearing as single bumps/pods. No pistols, none with 'multiple bumps/pods'.

I will probably end up with a pair of males knowing my luck.

I peeked in this morning. Looking at the photos on the web re sexing cannabis, it appears I have a pair of males. Nothing looks like pistols. This sunday will mark 7 weeks. I see plenty of pre-flowers, and they all appear as a single pre-flower, all are closed and there are no hairs sticking out.

I assume I should at least give them a couple more weeks, maybe even a week into flower to be definitive. Wonder if I should just flower now?

Thoughts? seems like I am doing the newbie second guessing...

I have a few Auto seeds-Blueberry, Cinderella Jack and Pineapple Express. In addition I have feminized Green Crack, Raspberry diesel, Northern Lights, White Widow, Blue Dream, Purple Trainwreck and Skywalker OG.

Thinking of going Blueberry and Cinderella Jack next-both auto

Never worked with Autos. But I'm assume if they are showing Pre flowering then they are gonna need the red spectrum of Light. So Flipping the Light might be beneficial.

I am not 100% sure on sexing. They are still clipping along in the tent. I could be confusing the early pre-flowers shape with the sex, so I will let them go until I can be 100% sure. Don't want to cull females. All sites just have one pre-flower, so there are not balls per se.

I am due to nute tomorrow, so will drag them out of the tent to snap some photos. I am at week 7 this weekend, so we are pretty much at pre-flower.

Plant 2 in the front I did a hack job on the fem, and it is just ugly compared to plant 1 in the back.

I really don't want to sprout autos at this point, if these end up being female, I have nowhere to put the auto.

Anyway...going to be patient...their still in veg. I will post some photos tomorrow morning...it could be my shitty old man needs reading glasses eyes.

@47 days-

Shortly after typing the above, I figured I would just nute the plants and take some photos. Had more free time than I thought. Gave 725ppm of Big Bloom, Grow Big and Tiger Bloom in a 1.5/1/1 ratio with a touch of open sesame, each plant got 2 liters, it was pH around 6.

Plant #1-dark injury point was the result of the fim.

Thoughts on sex??? Part of me thinks they are showing male, another part thinks it's too early. Have to admit, these are the first plants I have gendered.

@48 days.

They look peppy after the feeding. Plant #1 not taken out of LST, one bend at 90. Plant #2 restarted yesterday. I want them to both grow in an L shape, that way they fit in the tent and if I decide to SCROG it will keep plants on each side.

I am going to watch for better clues on sex in the coming weeks. I think it is too early to be exact.

Man I hope plant #1 (left below and first 3 photos above) is female...it looks like a producer.

Mine have just shown and I chopped one male cos it didn't have any pistils like the others. Fine white hairs all sprouting like crazy overnight. I hope they sprout pistils soon man :circle-of-love:

OK, I am thinking of switching to flowering sometime in the next few days. I have some work travel coming up and that seems best to get them sexed before I go out of town so there is no oops with a male staying in the house too darn long.

Thoughts?

I did adjust their LST just after the post. Right now I think both are females. So, if so, less veg might be better with having room in the tent. If both are male, I will just get done earlier and restarted.
