13goody13's PNW Indoor LED vs Outdoor Grow: Tangerine Dream AF & Gorilla Glue AF

The TD is becoming a little beast, awesome branching and filling out nice. It’s up to 6g/G of MC plus a 1g dose of sweet candy, and 5ml/gal Terpinator. I have a feeling this plant will be an absolute flavor factory compared to the last grow, just from changing a few things. It moved into the 2400w flowering tent a few days ago and is living life to its fullest.

And the GG, really slowly getting there but it is getting there.

The outdoor version is branchy, thick, and looks totally opposite.

All very interesting specimens.

Plants are all looking great! That TD is a beauty- really wish I hadn't killed that seed.
So you use Terpinator? I've got a 2.5 gallon jug of it you can have next time you're down here if you want it.
If you drive down, that is- if you fly, you'd have to buy another ticket just for the Terpinator...
But it would last you till you're my age ;)

Thanks! Just started using terpinator the last 2 weeks of the ChemDawg’s life. Now I’m adding it to every watering On the others, I want to see if it actually does anything, and it doesn’t seem to be hurting things.

I'm a little gun shy with potassium supplements- burnt up a plant once, but I was dosing it with max Bud Explosion and Sweet Candy. The Northern Lights got burnt real bad, but the Peyote Critical seemed to love it,
So it depends on the plant.
I still use those during the last month of flower, but I use 1/4 of GLN's recommendation.
(gotta use those bags up!)

Could see the first signs of burn today on the tips of the TD leaves. Was feeding full strength MC, sweet candy, and terpinator. I was going to continue at full strength since it was loving it, but now I’ll dial it back a bit (bit not too much) it’s only got a few weeks left and I want to keep it happy.

She looks good! - I can see just a smidgen of tip burn- Maybe just back off a little on the SC & Terpinator, and keep the MC where it is.
Or not -just a suggestion...
I'm just real careful with potassium supplements because I fried a plant once with it (SC and Bud Explosion)

Burnt up Northern Lights:

Yep you warned me and so I was watching for it. Keeping the MC the same but backing off to 1/2 on the supplements. As you know there is a fine line between burning a plant and fattening it up and I definitely found that threshold here lol. Seems like it’s going to be ok.

At 57 days old these have each had quite a different experience. The TD is close to on schedule, though the breeder says 70 days to finish and I know this one has more than 13 days left. I have made the mistake of harvesting too early for much of my growing history, but this time I’m going to let the trichomes decide.

And the GG plants which are both finally showing flower at 57 days, have each attained quite a different look due to their environments. On the left is the INDOOR. On the right, the OUTDOOR-

and just for a comparison, here are my @carcass special seeds, indoor and outdoor-

Note all INDOOR plants are quadlined.

Big difference between indoor and outdoor, but they're all looking great!

Going to take the advice of some members and try BackBuilding on the TD. These flowers have plenty of length, I’d love to see them swell a bit more. So I took the top 5mm of all the tips. It’s an interesting technique and seems like good science with this plant- plus the advice I get here has already helped my yields, why not this too!

Lookin' great mate!!!

I tried an auto freebee once. That also went s..., but I did not take very well care of the plant... All over growers mistakes all the way:)

Backbuilding like cutting of a small piece of the top of the buds? I had forgotten that practice. Use to do that a few years ago with good results, but had as mentioned all forgotten about that stuff when I started growing again...

Yes and in 25 years I’ve never tried it so this seems like a good plant to try it on. It has 2-3 weeks left where it will mainly be bulking up so this seemed like the right time. Autos are new to me as well, this will only be the second auto I’ve ever harvested. So far I like what they do, and it works with my setup.

I've heard of it, but never tried it, so I'll be watching to see how this goes.
I was going to try it once, but Emilya told me I was too late on that particular plant- I had about a week to go on that one- I think it was the Peyote Critical.
So,I think you're doing it at just about the right time.

In other news... I dropped my loupe on the Chem Dawg last night:straightface:...Of course, it busted a top branch clean off....(shit!)
I couldn't have broken it off better if I aimed at it...
But it's over it already, so no lasting harm done...

They seem to enjoy a bit of pain haha...at least you did it now and not during flower.

This TD is supposed to be done (70 days) in one week. It definitely grew different than the last one due to the quadlining and it will be interesting to see the yield differences (flavor too) this is it just a minute ago

The gorilla glue has been moved outside since it hasn’t started really flowering at 63 days. Bad genetics on those, all of them failed to flower.
Notice the new tent for flowering, it’s slightly taller and wider which I really needed. I need to make room for my next projects, and am probably just going to have a perpetual journal going starting with a bunch of candy strains I’ve been dying to grow.

TD is looking great!

Nice! Is that a 2x4 ?
It’s actually a 2x3x5’ tall, has a thing to put in a divider wall and make 2 separate areas but I kinda customized it and made it just like my 2x2 but with an extra foot of room to bush out and a higher ceiling for the lights. As you know, sometimes there’s not quite enough room for 2 good plants in a 2x2. It literally fits in the same space by about 5mm (but now hangs off the file cabinets a bit). I like the door setup and it has a window with flap to look in without opening the tent. Just a little upgrade since the plants are doing so well and my next seeds are some of the best I’ve ever sprouted.

Yeah, it gets too small in there real fast- I'm in the process of "narrowing" my Gelat.og so the Alaskan Purple will have at least half the box.
"Narrowing" means I shove it up against the wall...pretty technical stuff... ;)

She’s supposed to be done in 2 days but she is nowhere near finished (TD)

Yep, that TD is going to make you wait for it...but the longer she takes, the fatter those buds get!
Those LRx's are looking nice- they both look like girls to me....(j/k-but fingers crossed for females...)

That science project is an interesting arrangement, actually looks like it should work pretty well!
You might want to black out that reservoir though (ductape or something) - If you're using MC in it,
you'll see algae growing in there soon- that's why I don't mix my MC ahead of time - it takes a few days, but algae just loves MC, and the jug turns green after about 4 days (unless I store it in the dark, which I don't do)
