This is what i want to achieve! Your plants look fantastic sir InTheShed!I'm a major league lollipopper on my photoperiods so I'll chime in. LMK if I've left anything out!
I do the big defol and stripping at least a week before flip. That allows the plant to start moving all new growth to the top of the plant where you want the colas to develop.
Here is a before and after of my standard lollipop:
I take all the inner branches that will never make the canopy as well as a lot of the leaves from the lower and middle of the plant.
Here's a pic of what that looks like 10 days later (different plant):
My goal is two-fold: force all growth to the top and create airflow through the middle when it starts to get dense during flower.
21 days after flip (sativas take longer) I will do another cleanup, but this time all the fans remain. I take off any new weak branches that have grown over the last month, and because my goal is #nolarf, I take off any flowers on the lower part of a branch that I don't think will connect to the main top on the end.
Here is what my 21-day post-flip thinning looks like:
100%. You can get more cuttings when you lollipop than you can possibly use unless you have a farm!
My plants in veg are half your size from what i see.
So lets say i am training 10 branches and i am 1 week before 12/12, is it ok to lollipop my branches until 3rd or 4rth node? Is this going to give me a total of 9 or 10 nodes with flower after the stretch is done?
Are you growing outdoors? In a greenhouse?
I love your style. I cant wait to apply this knowledge on the next batch!!!!
