Weed Afternoon wizz. Does that pump vibrate the floor when its running?
:tommy::tommy::tommy:

No it has a rubber bottom. Besides its a concrete floor so its even more sound proof. Its not noisy at all :)

New add on. Top res only for nutrients and that leads to the top feed. Im only keeping fresh regular water in the bottom res. Its way to much to drain every week. Even though I dont check PH PPM TDS but just incase I still want to get the 6 in 1 meter to make it look good lol

Looking good in the new room, are you doing all hydro?
I seen the soil plants lol never mind lol

Thanks. Yea those will be my mother plants. There in 100% coco coir I dont do soil. To much problems. My outside veggie garden is in soil though. Along with 5 other types of mediums lol. They just started to pop above ground. Should see some good veggies in about a couple weeks. :)

Hey Wiz, I got my journal link figured out so if you wanted to look it over I'd value any incite you may have.
So, I had to make a move to soil and before I did, I thought real hard about coco. So what's the difference between soil and coco? I mean coco kinda looks like soil. What kind of problems can you avoid by using coco? Could I literally use it like soil? What precautions would I need to take using coco? Is there anything that's absolutely imperative when it comes to using coco?

Alot of great questions :)

Ok where to start, coco is first and for most alot more airy than soil. Holds alot more o2. It doesnt water log as soil does and also you can control everything in coco alot more then soil since it already had nutes in it and you never know whats leaching in soil. Things you can avoid in coco is 1, over watering, 2, deficiencies, salt build up or nute build up. Only thing you have to worry about is calcium and mg. It pulls calcium from the roots and it attaches it self to the coco fiber and can build up. But its not a big issue since tap water has alot of calcium in it. Also if your using good nutes they will also have atleast 4% calcium in it. Add on to that, I use organic bonemeal and mix it with my coco since it has calcium, phosphorus, and nitrogen in it. Best thing to use when growing in coco to start your plants off. Also its alot cheaper than buying soil since you can reuse it. I add alot molasses to it also it really does wonders. So no worries on that. Just giving you the whole 100% truth. Also its alot easier to transfer from coco pot to hydro or vice versa. Since you can use coco in hydro also. So that wouldve helped your issue out perfect. Anything else :geek: :)

Lmao! Yeah, I'm still wondering if I could just use it like I would soil. Would it have to be constantly fed with water or could you leave it for periods of time between watering?
(thanks for taking the time man)

Oh yea I guess i forgot that one. But yea you use it like soil. Depending on the temps 80-85 will dry a gallon pot out quick. 2 days tops. 5 gallon you have about a week.

I hope my grow come out like this :)

Wow!! That's what dreams are made of!!
Well, I'm going to have to look into the coco. I'm about 4-5 weeks from mapping up this current grow. Its blue cheese and the next one will be as well. I'll do some homework and figure it out. Thanks for taking the time man.

I have my ladies in three gallon pots. How long would you wait between waterings with a room temp of 75-80?

No problem on the info elious any time. Now do you mean coco or soil? In coco Depending on how you water them. Also the health and size of the plant and roots. In a 3gallon pot I'm assuming your plant are atleast a 2-3ft. With a good root system and watering them using a 1L bottle or maybe even half a L I would say couple days to a week. Also don't worry about root bounding. Let the plants roots go all threw the coco. Which they will do. Coco will allow your plants to do alot more in the root system. I transplant once the plant is drinking and drying out its pot in a day. That's when you know it's time to transplant.

In 5 gallon coco pot I never went over using 2L of water per plant. A one gallon pot I use 500ml or half of that. I like to water my plants rigt on the nose just incase I run into any problems I can flush with not worrying about over watering or if I need to add nutes In between feeding I can do so with out worrying about over watering. I pay attention to everything while growing. That's the method of my madness :)

If you were talkig about soil everything I said would be twice as long. And that's depending on the health of the plants.

hope you have a great weedend OH Wizard of Weed
good lookin out with the info for elious!

In that lot photo, with the sprouts, what is that you have them sprouting in? My lady hs been using Pete pots but we've had problems with them. Mold is one of them. Not on the plants but on the pots themselves.

Hey Sir Fish Good Weed to you! I have no idea what they are. A buddy of a buddy of mine gave them to me. So Its a surprise to me as well. Cant wait to see what they come out like. Hopefully they change colors like NL or medi bomb :dreamy:

I forgot to mention Im running GLR light schedule. Ive been running GLR since First grow. I love the results and I have shown the difference between 16/8-18/6 vs GLR by running my own test which is shown in my First journal if any one new here want to take a look or like to know the difference. I also have a thread running around some where on 420.

Any who I also forgot to mention that the Cheese Wiz Qush (Sativa) is on the left side and the Yellow Submarine the John Lennon of bud (Indica) is on the right side of the RCDWC.

PS I love looking at my res lol
