Welcome to the 420 Magazine Plant of the Month Contest thread.

Please submit a photo of your best plant. (there is a separate contest thread for nugs.)

We will only accept a self-nomination.

The contest will be open for submissions from the 1st through the 15th day of each month. Once all submissions are in, we will begin voting for a winner. Winners are announced on the 1st of each month.

2. Entries must include ONLY photos of the plant(s). You may add one inanimate object as a reference point for size or a closeup/macro. No nudity.

3. Maximum of two photos per member. Updating photos throughout the month is not allowed.

4. Remember to upload your photo through our Photo Gallery before posting them on this thread.

5. Self-nominations only.

6. Contest is open to the first 25 entries.

7. Promotion (i.e. campaigning) for yourself or a friend, or any attempt at voting more than one time per person (i.e. multiple user names, etc.) is considered cheating and is prohibited. Cheating in any form will result in a permanent disqualification from all future contests.

8. Editing Photos: You may resize and/or crop your photos, however adding text, images and effects are prohibited. This makes it a fair contest for all, as not everyone can afford photo editing programs and/or know how to use them.

I have not been paying much attention to this site much the last couple months, but is it just me or does the prize list suck compared to POTM in months/years past?

Seriously though, the title and the recognition there in gained is what can be invaluable! Without my titles I wouldn't be sponsored as I am!

Can't please everyone I guess.

Raw dropped off because they wanted to focus their marketing on hip hop and recreational type websites.

Scientific Soils dropped off because they didn't get much feedback or support from all of the people who received their products.

Growology dropped off because they decided not to continue the line.

Brothers with Glass were dropped because they couldn't keep up with communications and sending out the prizes.

We've been working our asses off around the site dealing with LED drama, replacing our News Mod, keeping the site updated and secure and 420 other things. If you want to assist, try helping us keep the peace with all of these childish LED wars. You have no idea how many hundreds of hours these people suck out of our lives with their constant immature drama and sponsor bashing.

Soon, we'll be reaching out to all of our current Sponsors to expand the prize packages again. Until then, did anyone notice we are now giving out 420 Magazine T-Shirts and stickers?

Lose a couple of bags of soil and some papers, gain a t-shirt and some stickers. Can't suck that bad, can it?

Sorry to hear about the problems 420 Ed, i guess some of it is just human nature in some ways or perhaps the way the social interaction of the internet works !

How ever the mission statement still stands - 420 Magazine - Mission Statement & that these obstacles may be brushed away asap for a greener 2015 for us all

I gotta agree with 420 there can be a lot of drama going on
and the prizes they are free why complain its not like you put in an entry fee to be able to win prizes
just post a pic and you have a chance, help people and you have a chance costs nothing but a bit of time
im like LA im Happy to win the nug jar
and I understand why growology dropped its line it was lacking in some areas that other nutrients didn't used as a 2 part.
its a free contest people and you get free stuff if you win how can you go wrong?
