Hi all, Be IRIE's January winner is not a nug, it is a cola! Yes it is a nice one too! Mr. Smith's July winner is a bud, and has trichome glands on the underside of the leaves. Maybe you didn't look at the close-up! Props to all the monthly winners.

During 2009, the members asked us to change the contest rules. We used to call it a bud if it was cut free from the tree and called it a plant if it was still alive (i.e. uncut).

The consensus was to start requiring nugs to be smokable, so we changed the rules for future contests.

We felt it better to push on with the yearly contest we promised even though it's not necessarilly a nug to nug (apples to apples) comparison.
