So...I returned from an overnight business trip to find that one branch of one of my plants nearly completely covered by web on the day before I was planning on cutting down the plants.
I quickly inspected the other plants and discovered that they too had spider mites, but no webbing yet.
So I doused both plants with potassium soap and allowed the buds to dry. The spraying seemed to remove the webbing issue, but not sure about the mites themselves.
Now my question...As this was the day of/before harvesting, I need to make sure that all the mites are dead so they do NOT continue to spread during the 2 upcoming weeks of curing! So, luckily I live in a climate where it is forecasted to be -2C' tonight. So, I cut the plants and hung them outside with the plan of bringing them back in tomorrow with the hopes that tonight's cold will kill any mites and the 12hr exposure to the cold temperatures won't harm the harvest. In addition, I doused the tent with a concoction of PSoap&NeemOil and plan on dousing the tent further tonight with a mild concentration of bleach.
Your Thoughts?
