This was my solution for now.I just noticed that the stalk got split right down the middle after I transplanted it into a 20 gallon pot. I had strings pulling the branches outwards to give the middle of the plant some sun. Anybody else have this happen and do you think it will survive?
and report back with progress!Thanks. Good ideas! Ice done some light research and these plants seem to be pretty resilient when it comes to damaged stems and stalks. We shall see. I'm dosing it heavy with some silica, hopefully that helps.Oh also, grab some rope and tie the opposite sides together about halfway up the plant. Cross support will help along with wood below.
I just noticed it today when I transplanted it from a 5 gallon to a 20 gallon pot. But it does look like it's been split for a while doesn't it. I put my finger inside the split and it feels dry and hard. I'm gonna lay the silica on heavy and hopefully it helps.
If you're using potassium silicate be careful not to overdo the potassium side of things.
I'm using bloom city silica boost. And when I said I was going to go heavy on some silica I meant I haven't given my plants any silica until today and I'm just giving it the recommended doses.
