yield ability

I am curious about yield probabilities based on experiences. The plant will be 2-21/2 feet(at harvest date). I am using 150hps on just one plant using hydro.. is it possible to pull more than an oz.. anyone tried this?

imo 150 w hps does not penetrate down far enough to grow a 2.5 ' plant with any decent buds except the main tops. maybe if you scrog it you could get an oscar off a 150 , but 150's dont cover much width. maybe add some cfl's?
