The first medical marijuana seminar in the state took place at the Waterfront Hotel in Morgantown Saturday.
The West Virginia Medical Cannabis society hosted the public event to inform people about the medical marijuana industry. The seminar comes after governor Jim Justice signed a medical cannabis bill into law earlier this year.
The CEO of U.S. Cannabis Pharmaceuticals Research and Development explained some of the rules for cultivators in the state.
The founder of the PA Medical Cannabis Society said this industry will benefit the state both medically and economically.
There will be thirty stores throughout the state licensed to distribute medical cannabis.
