when u put ur seeds in jiffys do u leave the lights on or off? i just put the seeds in without putting them on a moist papertowl and wait to let them bust through the shell..

jiffy cubes are not the best thing to use. use rockwool cubes, yes you can germinate seeds just by droping them into rockwool cubes, and they need to be in the dark

i have found better results by using a heating pad under your container and keeping it warm. not to hot, you dont want to cook them around 75 to 80 deg. then cover your container to keep them moist and in the dark
