Would you harvest?

Hey All,
These girls are in week 6 of flower but trichomes look really close to done for my liking. I was still expecting to let them go for 2 to 3 weeks but after looking at the trichomes I'm not so sure

Wow, 6 weeks that's pretty early, but your pistils have all darkened and curled in, you have mostly cloudy with a few amber. Looks like you're in the window. I like them with more amber but that's totally grower's choice.

So, are you 6 weeks from pistils or flip?

Yes, increases the cannabinoid levels in the trichomes. Usually done in week 7ish so wouldn't work for you with this plant if the trichs are to your liking now, but there's there's link in my signature if you want to explore.

Thanks for the info I'll have a look I still might do it with these two plants. I could have sworn I was watching Bruce Bugbee and he denied any evidence supporting the whole long dark period before harvest and something about watering also. But it's been a while so I can't really recall.

Thanks for the tag @Azimuth! We would love to see/hear/follow another drought or 2 or 12!

Excited to see you try this technique @elementhc, get a scope handy to follow the trichome journey!

Okay now I have to try it. I just watered them today what's the longest they should be left without water before harvest?
Like Azi said, it's techincally dependent upon LWA. The angle from the petiole to the tip of the leaf should drop 50% from its initial point of turgidness. It is up to 11 days, depends on the medium, the plant, the environment, many things. Sometimes leaves don't wilt, they get dry, it's really somewhere, in my experience, around 6-9 days on average I get with my plants. I do have a tendency to drought closer to Week 8 however as well. Bit to start off, I'd go by the books and you'll get increasingly more comfortable and knowledgeable about your plants condition throughout the drought the more you drought.

Edit...I always harvest based off of trichomes regardless of time of drought

Hi there, how did it go? I am on my first experiment with controlled droughting. I've gone 6 days so far and will go another day or two before watering. I think my plant will be ready to harvest within a week from now.
